7 Features Maruti Suzuki Brezza Gets But Kia Sonet Doesn’t | V3Cars

Maruti Suzuki recently launched the 2022 Brezza as an answer to the rising competition from its rivals. The new Brezza continues to rival other sub-compact SUVs like Kia Sonet, Hyundai Venue, Tata Nexon and Mahindra XUV300.

Features Maruti Suzuki Brezza Gets Over Kia Sonet

In this article, we tell you 9 features that are missing in the Kia Sonet but available in the Maruti Suzuki Brezza.

1. LED Fog Lights

While both the Sonet and Brezza come with fog lamps, the Brezza comes with LED fog lamps. The Sonet, on the other hand, comes with projector halogen fog lamps.

2. 360-degree Parking Camera

The new Brezza comes with a 360-degree parking camera. It offers a bird's eye view of the car and also alerts the driver in case of any obstacles around the car while parking. The Sonet, on the other hand, comes with a rear parking camera. However, the Sonet also gets front parking sensors that come in handy while parking in tight spaces.

3. Height-Adjustable Seatbelts

The new Brezza continues to come with height adjustable seatbelts for the driver and front co-passenger seats. Height adjustable seatbelts ensure safety of children and shorter adults in case of an impact by reducing the pressure on the chest and neck, if adjusted properly. The Kia Sonet does not get this feature.

4. Telescopic Steering

While both the Brezza and Sonet come with tilt steering, the Brezza extends its lead with telescopic adjustment for the steering as well. It’s surprising to see that the Sonet lacks telescopic steering adjustment as it comes as a standard feature in the Hyundai i20 hatchback from Kia’s sister company Hyundai.

5. Cooled Glovebox

The new Brezza comes with a cooled glovebox while the Sonet shockingly lacks this feature. While the cooling of a cooled glovebox isn’t enough to cool your drinks, it controls the temperature to keep your drinks and medicines unaffected from outside temperatures.

6. 60:40 Rear Split Seat

While the Sonet gets a bigger 392L boot, the Brezza offers 60:40 split-folding rear seats. The Brezza gets a smaller 328L boot space but the split seats help store longer articles by folding one or both seats without compromising on practicality. Additionally, the Brezza also gets a boot lamp that the Sonet lacks.

7. Head-Up Display

The new Brezza comes with a head-up display, which is a segment-first feature. A head-up display offers a few vital information like vehicle speed, engine RPM, fuel efficiency and music playback. It is worth noting that the Brezza comes with conventional dials for the instrument console whereas the Sonet gets a semi-digital instrument cluster.
