9 Features Kia Sonet Gets But Maruti Suzuki Brezza Doesn’t | V3Cars

Maruti Suzuki recently launched the 2022 Brezza as an answer to the rising competition from its rivals. The new Brezza continues to rival other sub-compact SUVs like the Kia Sonet, Hyundai Venue, Tata Nexon and Mahindra XUV300.

Features Kia Sonet Gets Over Maruti Suzuki Brezza

In this article, we tell you 9 features that are missing in the Maruti Suzuki Brezza but available in the Kia Sonet.

1. Tyre Pressure Monitoring System

The top variants of the Kia Sonet come with a tyre pressure monitoring system. It tells the real-time tyre pressure of each tyre and also alerts the driver in case of an underinflated tyre or a puncture. This feature is sorely missed in the Brezza and we think every new car in this segment should have this safety feature.

2. Front Parking Sensors

The Kia Sonet is the only sub-compact SUV other than the Mahindra XUV300 to offer front parking sensors. However, it is worth noting that the Brezza gets a 360-degree parking camera along with an alert system that warns of obstacles near the vehicle.

3. Traction Control Modes

The automatic variants of the Kia Sonet offer traction control modes, such as slush, rain and mud. These modes help increase the grip of the vehicle in varied terrains whereas the Breeza doesn’t get a traction control system.

4. Subwoofer

While both the Sonet and Brezza come with branded audio systems from Bose and Arkamys, respectively, the Sonet extends its lead with a subwoofer that works with Kia’s sound mood lighting to offer an audio immersive experience.

5. Front Ventilated Seat

The Kia Sonet is the only sub-compact SUV in the market to offer front ventilated seats. They offer cool air to the driver and front co-passenger’s back in the scorching heat. It is worth noting that the Brezza doesn’t get ventilated seats even though the new XL6 does.

6. Air Purifier

The Kia Sonet gets an in-cabin air purifier, which cleans up the air and removes dirt and other substances from the cabin. With increasing pollution, having an air purifier in your car is an absolute necessity.

7. Drive Modes

The turbo petrol engine in the Kia Sonet comes with drive modes, namely eco, normal and sport. These modes alter the throttle response and overall performance of the powertrain. On the other hand, the Brezza only comes with a load mode with the automatic transmission in case you need to haul heavy cargo.

8. Engine Start With Remote

While both the Sonet and Brezza come with connected car tech with a slew of features like vehicle diagnosis and live tracking, the Sonet extends its lead with remote engine start. In addition to the mobile app, the Sonet also lets you start the engine from the key fob itself and pre-cool the cabin.

9. Leatherette Seats

The 2022 Brezza costs considerably more than its predecessor but lacks leatherette seats. The Sonet offers leatherette seats, which somewhat contributes to the high pricing whereas the Brezza continues to come with fabric seats.
