2022 Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder Expected Prices — Mild Hybrid, AWD And Mild Hybrid Auto | V3Cars

Take a look at the expected prices of the Urban Cruiser Hyryder mild hybrid:

The Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder makes use of Toyota’s in-house developed TNGA 1.5L hybrid powertrain. Hence, the top two variants of the Urban Cruiser Hyryder are Rs. 50,000 cheaper than the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara hybrid. Similarly, the Urban Cruiser Hyryder mild-hybrid makes use of Maruti Suzuki’s 1.5L K15 mild-hybrid petrol engine. Hence, we expect it to command a premium of Rs. 15,000 to Rs. 20,000 over the corresponding variants of the Grand Vitara.

Based on these calculations, we expect Toyota to price the Urban Cruiser Hyryder mild-hybrid manual variants from Rs. 10.60 lakh to Rs. 15.59 lakh ex-showroom. Considering Maruti Suzuki charge a premium of Rs. 1.50 lakh for the automatic transmission over the manual transmission, we expect Toyota to do the same as well. This puts the Urban Cruiser Hyryder mild-hybrid automatic variant’s prices in the range of Rs. 13.60 lakh to Rs. 17.09 lakh. Finally, we expect the Urban Cruiser Hyryder all-wheel-drive to cost Rs. 20,000 more than the Grand Vitara AllGrip, at Rs. 17.09 lakh.

If our estimated prices are correct, the difference between the mild-hybrid auto and strong hybrid auto variants will stand at Rs. 1.90 lakh. The difference between the mild-hybrid V manual and mild-hybrid V manual 4-wheel-drive would then be Rs. 1.50 lakh.

The Urban Cruiser Hyryder comes with a 1.5L mild hybrid petrol engine and a 1.5L strong hybrid petrol engine. The former gets 4-wheel-drive with terrain modes. The 1.5L mild-hybrid petrol engine produces 103PS of power and 137Nm of torque at 4400rpm. This comes with either a 5-speed manual or a 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission. The 1.5L strong hybrid engine gets an eCVT transmission and produces 116PS of power and 122Nm of torque between 4400rpm and 4800rpm.

The Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder goes up against the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Volkswagen Taigun, Skoda Kushaq, MG Astor and the recently-launched Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara.
