Maruti Suzuki Ertiga VXI, ZXI Automatic Variants Reintroduced | V3Cars

In November 2022, Maruti Suzuki revised the prices of the Ertiga and discontinued the VXI and ZXI automatic variants of the MPV. The carmaker has now reintroduced the VXI and ZXI automatic variants of the Ertiga. Read on to know their details and prices.

Ertiga VXI And ZXI Automatic Variants Reintroduced

Since the VXI and ZXI automatic variants were discontinued, the Ertiga automatic was only available in the top-spec ZXI Plus variant. The reintroduction of the VXI and ZXI automatic variants make the Ertiga more accessible for buyers looking for an MPV with the convenience of 2-pedal technology. The Ertiga petrol-automatic’s prices now start from Rs. 11.13 lakh (ex-showroom).

It is worth mentioning that safety features like electronic stability control and hill-hold control were earlier only offered in the automatic variants of the Ertiga. However, the aforementioned safety features are now offered as standard across all variants of the Ertiga petrol manual, automatic and petrol CNG.

Maruti Suzuki Ertiga Engine Specifications

The Maruti Suzuki Ertiga comes with a 1.5L normal petrol engine with mild-hybrid support. It produces 103PS of power and 137Nm of torque. The CNG option lacks the mild-hybrid support and offers 88PS of power and 121Nm of torque. The CNG powertrain comes with a 5-speed manual transmission whereas the petrol variants also offer the option of a 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission.
