2022 Mahindra Scorpio N Retains The Rugged Design

The Mahindra Scorpio N has stepped in a new generation but it retains its rugged SUV appeal. Design elements like a tall and long bonnet, vertical tail lights and tall proportions are retained, much to the delight of Scorpio’s ardent fan following. 2022 Mahindra Scorpio N Gets Premium Interiors

Quality and premium interiors is not a thing the old Scorpio was famous for. However, that is about to change with the new Scorpio N. In pictures revealed by Mahindra, the Scorpio N is seen with dual-tone interior with a leather-draped dashboard. The new Scorpio will also offer dual-tone balack and brown upholstery for the seats along with white stitching. Mahindra will also offer both 6- and 7-seater configurations, with the former offering captain chairs with individual armrests.

2022 Mahindra Scorpio N To Come Loaded With Features

Mahindra will offer a ton of features with the new Scorpio N. Features that have been revealed so far include a central touchscreen, flat-bottom steering wheel with controls, terrain modes with 4-wheel-drive controls, semi-digital instrument cluster, dual-zone climate control, Sony sound system and an electric sunroof. The 2022 Scorpio N is also likely to offer safety features like 6 airbags, traction control, vehicle stability management and hill descent control.

2022 Mahindra Scorpio N To Share Powertrains With XUV700

We can now confirm that the Mahindra Scorpio N will borrow its powertrains from the XUV700, albeit in different states of tune. The 2.2L turbo diesel engine is likely to produce 175PS of power and 370Nm of torque. The lower variants, however, will get the same engine with a lower 132PS and 300Nm of torque. The 2.0L turbo petrol in the Scorpio N will produce the same 200PS of power and 380Nm of torque. Both engine options will come with a 6-speed manual and 6-speed torque converter automatic transmissions and optional 4-wheel-drive.

2022 Mahindra Scorpio N To Undercut The XUV700

We expect the Scorpio N to undercut its elder sibling — the XUV700. The new Scorpio N will miss out some features that the XUV700 gets, such as the panoramic sunroof and advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) to name a few.
