Volkswagen Virtus Enters The ‘India Book Of Records’ – 150 Sedans Delivered In A Single Day From A Dealership | V3Cars
Volkswagen have entered the ‘India Book Of Records’ with the Virtus. EVM Motors, a Volkswagen dealer from Kerala, delivered 150 Virtus in a single day, a national record for delivering the maximum number of a single model in a day by any dealership across India.
Volkswagen say that since the Virtus went on sale, they are organising mega delivery programs across their 152 showrooms in India.
Speaking on this achievement, Mr. Ashish Gupta, Brand Director, Volkswagen Passenger Cars India, said, “We are extremely elated to have the new Volkswagen Virtus create a national record at the ‘India Book of Records’, by being a single model sedan to be delivered in a day by a single dealership. Volkswagen launched the Virtus this month as a replacement for the Vento sedan. The Virtus is underpinned by the heavily localised MQB A0-IN platform and gets the option of 2 turbo-petrol engines. The engine options of the Virtus include a 1.0L turbo petrol and a 1.5L turbo-petrol engine. The 1.0L turbo-petrol engine comes with the option of a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed TC automatic transmission. On the other hand, the 1.5L turbo-petrol comes with a 7-speed DCT automatic transmission.
