Rumours suggest that Maruti Suzuki are also gearing up to bring the next-generation Alto to the market in August. With the 2022 model update, we may also see the Alto once again getting the 1.0L petrol engine. This time around, it won’t just get the more powerful 1.0L normal petrol engine but it’ll get this engine in a highly efficient tune with dual-jet technology. The WagonR, Celerio and S-Presso also have this same engine and all 3 of these cars claim to deliver some phenomenal mileage figures of around 25kmpl. With the Alto’s compact body, we may even see its official mileage figure breach the 27kmpl mark. The Celerio petrol-automatic has an ARAI mileage of 26.88kmpl.
