5 Missing Features In Kia Seltos But Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara Offers | V3Cars

Maruti Suzuki recently revealed their all-new Nexa Grand Vitara hybrid SUV for our market. The new offering from Maruti Suzuki rivals other C-Segment SUVs like the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, MG Astor, Volkswagen Taigun and Skoda Kushaq.

Seltos Features Misses Over Grand Vitara

We pit the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara against the Kia Seltos to tell you 5 features that are missing in the Seltos but present in the Grand Vitara.

1. Panoramic Sunroof

The higher variants of the Maruti Nexa Grand Vitara get a large panoramic sunroof while the Kia Seltos gets a smaller electric sunroof.

2. Mild- And Strong Hybrid Powertrains

The Grand Vitara comes with a 1.5L mild-hybrid and 1.5L strong hybrid powertrain options. The Nexa Grand Vitara hybrid offers a claimed fuel efficiency of 27.97kmpl. The Kia Seltos, on the other hand, offers a diverse range of engine options but none offer any kind of hybridisation. For automatic SUV buyers, the diesel-automatic is the most fuel-efficient powertrain of the Seltos, which offers only 18kmpl. So, the Nexa Grand Vitara hybrid will save you about Rs. 1.50 for every kilometre you drive compared to the Seltos diesel-automatic.

The 1.5L mild-hybrid petrol engine in the Grand Vitara also comes with the option of 4-wheel-drive, albeit with the manual transmission only. Meanwhile, Kia offer the Seltos with a 4-wheel-drive system in global markets, but the India-spec Seltos comes with a front-wheel-drive setup.

4. More Standard Features

The Grand Vitara comes with more standard features than the Kia Seltos. Even the base variant of the Grand Vitara offers features like keyless entry with push-button start/stop, rear armrest, 3-point seatbelts for all passengers, telescopic steering, 17-inch wheels, auto AC, 60:40 split-folding rear seatbacks, PM 2.5 air purifier, rear disc brakes, electronic stability control and hill-start assist. These features aren’t available in the base model of the Kia Seltos.
