Next-Generation 2022 Maruti Suzuki S-Cross - Engine Specs

At least for the UK market, it looks like the car will get a 1.4L hybrid turbo petrol engine. This engine will make 129PS of power at 5500rpm and 235Nm of torque between 2000 and 3000rpm. This engine will come with a 6-speed manual and 6-speed automatic transmission. 4-wheel drive is available with manual as well auto automatic transmission in the top variant.

With the 1.4L hybrid turbo petrol engine, the S-Cross 2022 has a mileage of 13.33kmpl to 21.28kmpl. It varies depending on the transmission, driving test situation and drivetrain. Please note that these figures are based on the UK-spec model and tested on the WLTP cycle.

Maruti Suzuki S-Cross 2022 - Dimensions

The new SCross is 4300mm long, 1785mm wide and 1585mm tall. The 2022 S-Cross has a wheelbase of 2600mm and a ground clearance of 175mm. The UK-spec car has a lower ground clearance than what we will get in India. We can expect the car to have at least 200mm of ground clearance.

The upcoming S-Cross 2022 has a boot space of 430 litres and a fuel tank capacity of 47 litres. It has a wheel size of 215/55 R17.

New S-Cross 2022 (Maruti Suzuki Nexa) Colour Options

The upcoming new-generation S-Cross will come in the following colour options:

• White

• Silver

• Grey

• Black

• Blue

It’s worth noting that Maruti Suzuki doesn't offer black colour in any of their cars except the Nexa Ciaz. it’s unclear if the black colour will make it to India or not.

Maruti S Cross India Launch Date

The S Cross first came in 2015 and got a facelift in 2017. The facelift kept the car going for a while and now it’s time for an overhaul.

The new S Cross will come to India sometime in 2022. We expect the S Cross to launch in India in the first half, possibly in the first quarter of 2022.
