MG Motor India are currently dispatching the display and test drive units of the Comet EV to their dealerships across the country. Interested buyers can now take a closer look at the Comet EV and also take a test drive.

MG Comet EV Test Drives Begin

MG Motor India opened test drives for the Comet EV on April 27. The most affordable electric hatchback in the country is now available for test drives across all MG dealerships in the country. Targeted towards buyers looking for a 2nd or 3rd vehicle, the Comet EV makes for a perfect city runabout car thanks to its compact dimensions and low running cost.

MG Comet EV Bookings To Open On May 15

MG Motor India will open bookings for the Comet EV on May 15, 2023. MG are also likely to announce the complete prices and variants of the Comet EV around the same time. MG launched the Comet EV with an introductory starting price of Rs. 7.98 lakh (ex-showroom). The higher variants, which come loaded with all the bells and whistles, could cost upwards of Rs. 10 lakh.

MG Comet EV Features

The MG Comet EV offers features such as drive modes, multi-level regenerative braking, 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, digital driver’s display, power-adjustable side mirrors, 2-spoke steering wheel with controls, dual front airbags, reverse parking camera with sensors and tyre pressure monitoring system.

MG Comet EV Powertrain Details

The Comet EV comes with a 17.3kWh battery pack that powers a rear-mounted electric motor. The electric motor produces 42PS of power and 110Nm of torque. The Comet EV offers a claimed range of 230km on a single charge. In terms of charging, the Comet EV can juice up its batteries from 0-100% in 7 hours via a 3.3kW AC charger. MG do not offer any fast charging support with the Comet EV.
