Mahindra have taken the wraps off the new Scorpio Classic. It comes in two variants — S and S11, along with a few subtle design changes. The launch of the Scorpio Classic will take place in August 2022.

Mahindra Scorpio Classic

Thanks to the cult fanbase of the current-gen Scorpio, Mahindra decided to keep it on sale alongside the new Scorpio N. It gets a new 6-slat chrome grille with the new twin peaks logo in the middle. The lower part of the bumper gets a revised fog lamp housing along with new LED DRLs. Around the side, it gets a new set of 17-inch alloy wheels and side sills. At the back, it gains the new twin peaks logo with a gloss black garnish along with a revised set of vertical LED tail lights.

On the inside, the new Scorpio Classic retains its upright and minimalist dashboard layout. The changes on the inside include black and beige interiors, new leather-wrapped steering wheel with twin peaks logo, and a 9.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with phone mirroring. As we stated earlier, Mahindra will offer the Scorpio Classic in S and S11 variants. The S variant will offer both 7- and 9-seater configurations with side-facing third-row seats. The S11 variant will only come in 7-seater configuration, with a bench seat or captain seats for the middle-row passengers.

In terms of powertrain options, the new Scorpio Classic comes with the same 2.2L turbo diesel engine that we get with the base variants of the Scorpio N. The 2.2L turbo diesel engine will produce 130PS of power and 300Nm of torque. Mahindra offer the Scorpio Classic with only a 6-speed manual transmission and a rear-wheel-drive setup.
