Mahindra To Deliver 20,000 Scorpio N SUVs By End-2022 | V3Cars

Mahindra plan to deliver 20,000 Scorpio N SUVs by the end of 2022. Currently, Mahindra have the capacity to produce 6,000 units of the Scorpio N every month. Scorpio N deliveries start from September 26.

The 2022 Scorpio N has been a runaway success for Mahindra. The carmaker received over 25,000 bookings for the Scorpio N in just 1 minute since bookings opened. That number rose to 1 lakh within the next 30 minutes. The unprecedented response made Mahindra instantly plan an increase in production of the new SUV.

Mahindra also revealed that they will initially prioritise the deliveries of the Z8 and Z8L variants. Mahindra offer the Scorpio N with two engine options — a 2.2L turbo diesel and a 2.0L turbo petrol. The 2.2L turbo diesel engine produces 175PS of power at 3500rpm and up to 400Nm of torque 1750rpm and 2750rpm. The 2.0L turbo petrol engine produces 203PS of power at 5000rpm and 380Nm of torque between 1750rpm and 3000rpm. Both engines come with a choice of 6-speed manual and a 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission. However, only the diesel engine offers the option of 4-wheel-drive.
