Maruti To Offer 2022 Ertiga Facelift CNG With ZXi Variant – Expected Power Figures Inside | V3Cars
The 2022 Maruti Arena Ertiga facelift will get the option of a factory-fitted CNG kit in the top-spec ZXi variant. The current avatar of the popular MPV comes with the option of a factory-fitted CNG kit, but only with the mid-spec VXi variant.
Currently, there are several carmakers that offer affordable, 7-seater MPVs. However, considering the rise in fuel prices of late, you might be better off buying an MPV with a factory-fitted CNG kit. Unfortunately, there aren’t a whole lot of options; the only available option is the Maruti Ertiga. That said, the current version of the Ertiga CNG is only available with the mid-spec VXi trim, which lacks a few functional features. With the Ertiga facelift though, you will not have to make any compromises as the CNG kit will be available in the top ZXi variant as well.

Apart from some subtle design changes and a few new features, the Ertiga facelift will also get a new 1.5L dual-jet normal petrol engine. This engine is likely to produce more power than the current 1.5L normal petrol engine. The current engine produces 105PS of power while running on petrol and 92PS with CNG.

We expect the new dual-jet engine to produce around 115PS of power while running on petrol. Supposing the new engine loses the same percentage of power when running on CNG, we can make a rough estimate of its power figures. The math tells us that the CNG variants of the new Ertiga will likely produce around 101PS of power, which is 9PS more than the current Ertiga CNG. However, we will have to wait for the official launch of the Ertiga facelift to know the exact power figures of the Ertiga CNG.
Maruti could continue charging a premium of Rs. 95,000 for the CNG variants over the respective petrol variants. Click the link below to know more about what you can expect in the new Ertiga.
