Tata Harrier EV 2025 Expected Price Along With Expected Variant-Battery-Drivetrain Lineup | V3Cars
In this article, we will provide you with the expected price of each variant-battery-drivetrain combination of the upcoming Tata Harrier EV. As you already know, the starting price expectation we presented back in April 2025 turned out to be spot on with Harrier EV prices starting from Rs. 21.49 lakh. Our expectation was Rs. 21.50 lakh.

Tata haven’t confirmed yet the exact variant-battery-drivetrain combinations of the Harrier EV. Based on our understanding of the EV landscape and Tata’s goals, we will present most likely candidates for the Harrier EV along with our price expectations for each of them.
Tata Harrier EV Price Expectation (Variant Wise)
With a starting price of Rs. 21.50 lakh, the Harrier EV product team at Tata Motors are off to a great start. However, they aren’t doing charity here, and just like any other car manufacturer, their goal is to extract as much money out of the buyers’ pockets as possible. So, we expect the mid-spec variant to offer some compelling features like a panoramic sunroof and more. However, if you want a larger battery, you will most likely have to upgrade to the mid-spec variant and then pay a premium on top of that for the larger battery option.
From there, the amazing 4WD features are likely to remain exclusive to the top variant. Thus forcing buyers interested in this option to make 2 more jumps — once to the 75kWh top model and then once more to get the 4WD option.
This is how we expect Tata to organize the variants.

Now, with respect to pricing, we expect the mid and top variants to be well spaced out from respective lower variants. We expect a Rs. 2.0 lakh premium for the Harrier EV mid variant over the base model. From here, the jump to the larger battery could cost Rs. 1.50 lakh, although we believe it’s not worth more than Rs. 1.0 lakh.
Another Rs. 2.0 lakh premium should get you the new ADAS features with the Harrier EV top model. Meanwhile, the 4WD with dual-motor is new, not only for Tata but also for most EV manufacturers in India. So, this setup may still have some bugs that need to be flushed out and fixed. Hence, Tata should want to limit its access from most buyers as much as possible. This is possible by overpricing it a little.
We believe Rs. 2.0 lakh is a fair premium for 4WD and associated features. But we expect Tata to price it Rs. 3.0 lakh higher. Such a move will limit its demand and thus limit the number of disgruntled owners should something go wrong with the drivetrain.
We continue to maintain an expected price range of Rs. 21.50 to Rs. 30.0 lakh for the Harrier EV as we did when we first published this article on April 23, 2025.
