Citroen C3 To Get TPMS, HSA, ESC As Standard Safety Features - Report | V3Cars
According to a recent report, Citroen C3 is about to get some safety features as standard. The image, which looks legit by the way, suggests that the C3 will get tyre pressure sensors (TPMS), electronic stability control (ESC) and hill start assist (HSA) as standard features.
Reviewers and customers alike have talked enough about the lack of several must-have features in the C3. Citroen recently addressed this issue to some extent with the addition of the new Shine top variant. It offers the following features over the lower Feel trim:
- Power mirrors
- Rear camera
- Day/night inside mirror
- 15-inch machined alloy wheels
- Fog lamps
- Rear washer wiper
- Rear defogger
- Telematics (connected car tech)
- Faux rear skid plate

C3 Features - Still Falling Short
We believe that a day/night inside mirror is a basic safety feature, which should also come as standard. The lack of a tachometer also makes the C3 feel quite basic. Considering that the C3 turbo accelerates and handles quite well, we were surprised to find out that even with the more powerful engine, the C3 doesn't get a RPM metre.
Among other features, we wish it had:
- Front armrest
- Rear armrest
- Split-folding rear seatback
- Adjustable rear headrests
- 3-point seatbelts for rear centre passenger
- Rear power-window switches on the door pads
- Cruise control
- Projector or LED headlamps
- Grab-type door handles
Citroen C3 - Feeling Strong
After driving the C3 turbo, we came away impressed with features like:
- Steering wheel, gear lever and hand brake lever touch points
- Heavy feeling while door opening and closing
- Seat cushioning
- Ride comfort
- Performance (with the turbo petrol engine)
