Citroen 7-Seater SUV Spied With Camouflage — C3 Aircross? | V3Cars

After the recent launch of the C5 Aircross facelift, Citroen are working on another made-for-India product. Citroen revealed that the C3 Aircross will follow the launch of the C3 hatchback. A set of new pictures reveal that the new C3 Aircross may offer 3-row seating and bigger proportions.

The test car was spotted alongside the C3 and the bigger dimensions were clearly visible. In the pictures, we can see bigger wheels, more ground clearance and extended rear overhang. However, it’s hard to guage whether the wheelbase is longer or not.

The last row of seats can also be seen with adjustable headrests. We expect the new 7-seater SUV from Citroen to share its underpinnings with the C3. In terms of design, it looks identical to the C3, albeit with a larger stance. It gets split headlights with LED DRLs and C-shaped tail lights. The pictures also reveal an identical dashboard layout as the C3. It features a 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system and a digital instrument cluster.

On the powertrain front, the new 7-seater SUV may share its powertrains with the C3 as well. It could get the 1.2L normal petrol and 1.2L turbo petrol engine options. In the C3, the 1.2L normal petrol engine produces 82PS of power at 5750rpm and 115Nm of torque at 3750rpm. The 1.2L turbo petrol engine produces 110PS of power at 5500rpm and 190Nm of torque at 1750rpm.

The Citroen C3 hatchback offers good value but lacks a couple of must-have features. The C3 Aircross could rectify that as it is likely to be priced higher. With the new 7-seater SUV, Citroen could target buyers of the Renault Triber, Maruti Suzuki Ertiga and XL6.
