2024 Mahindra XUV300 Facelift Spotted With Production-Spec Elements | V3Cars

With the launch of the Tata Nexon and Kia Sonet facelift fast approaching, Mahindra are working on updating their B2-segment SUV, the XUV300. A new video reveals the key changes on the exterior and interior of the XUV300 facelift. Take a closer look at them here.

Mahindra XUV300 Facelift Spotted In Mere Production-Spec Form

The XUV300 facelift that was spotted recently was wrapped in white film to hide its revamped design. However, we were able to figure out some of the changes from the video. To start with, the new XUV300 facelift will offer C-shaped LED elements at the front and rear. The updated XUV300 is likely to get larger headlights with C-shaped LED DRLs. It could also feature a larger radiator grille and reprofiled bumper.

Around the side, we do not expect any major changes since it is a mid-life facelift. The video also reveals C-shaped LED taillights and the XUV300 facelift, like most B2-segment SUV these days, is likely to feature a connecting strip that joins both tail lamps. Furthermore, Mahindra could also beef up its rear bumper to minimise the abruptly cut appearance of the current XUV300.

Mahindra XUV300 Facelift With Larger Touchscreen

With the facelift, Mahindra will address the biggest downside of the current XUV300, which is its outdated interior. While the video only gives a sneak preview of the interior, a larger touchscreen infotainment is clearly visible. The new touchscreen is a freestanding unit and it could measure around 10-inch in size. Likely to run on Adrenox OS, it could also offer wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.

Thanks to the new positioning of the touchscreen infotainment system, a new dashboard layout is obvious. Furthermore, it could also offer new features such as a wireless phone charger, 360 degree camera and front ventilated seats. Rumours also suggest the XUV300 could offer a panoramic sunroof. However, that seems unlikely as the XUV300 is a B2 segment SUV and Mahindra would want to keep its prices competitive to rival the upcoming Nexon and Sonet facelift.

Mahindra XUV300 Facelift Powertrain Details

In terms of powertrains, we expect the XUV300 to retain the same set of engine options as the current SUV. The current model features a 1.2L turbocharged petrol engine that produces 130PS of power at 5000rpm and 230Nm of torque between 1500rpm and 3750rpm. The 1.5L diesel engine option produces 117PS of power at 3750rpm and 300Nm of torque between 1500rpm and 2500rpm. We do not expect the updated SUV to come with the less-powerful version of 1.2L turbo petrol engine that’s currently on offer.

Mahindra XUV300 Facelift Launch Details

Given the stretched waiting periods of the existing range of Mahindra SUVs like the Thar, XUV700 and Scorpio N, we believe that Mahindra will launch the XUV300 facelift in early 2024. However, Mahindra could reveal the XUV300 facelift sometime later this year and open bookings to entice their customers amd away potential Nexon and Sonet facelift buyers.
