2024 Force Gurkha 5 Door Revealed – More Powerful Than Mahindra Thar | V3Cars

Force Motors have revealed the 2024 Gurkha 5 Door, its features and powertrain specifications on their website ahead of the official launch in the first week of May. Force Motors’ alternative to the Maruti Suzuki Jimny and the upcoming Mahindra Thar 5 Door offers the best-in-class power and torque figures. It also gets additional features over the current Gurkha 3 Door.

The 2024 Force Gurkha boasts a length of 4390mm, width of 1865mm, height of 2095mm without the roof carrier (2295mm with roof carrier). The ground clearance of the Gurkha 5 Door is 233mm.

While the dimensions of the Mahindra Thar 5 Door are not known at the moment, the new Gurkha 5 Door is substantially larger than its other 5 door off-roader rival, the Maruti Suzuki Jimny.

The new Force Gurkha 5 Door is powered by a more powerful version of the brand’s 2.6-litre diesel engine. Compared to the current Gurkha 3 Door, the new Gurkha 5 Door produces 48PS and 70Nm more. The Force Gurkha 5 Door’s power and torque figures are substantially higher than the Mahindra Thar and Maruti Suzuki Jimny.

Like the Gurkha 3 Door, the longer Gurkha also gets a shift-on-fly 4-wheel drive system with 4 High, 4 Low and 2 High modes.

2024 Force Gurkha Features – Interior And Exterior

For 2024, the new Gurkha 5 Door gets several feature improvements over the 2023 Gurkha 3 Door. For starters, the cabin now features a larger 9.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system over the 7.0-inch system in the 2023 Gurkha 3 Door. It also gets a digital instrument cluster with an in-built tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS).

As far as seating is concerned, the Gurkha 5 Door offers a bench seat in the 2nd row and captain seats in the 3rd row for a total seating capacity of 7 passengers, including the driver.

On the outside, apart from the additional doors, the Gurkha 5 Door offers 18-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels with 255/65 tyres compared to the outgoing Gurkha 3 Door’s 16-inch alloy wheels with 245/70-section tyres.

Force Motors have retained features such as:

Tilt and telescopic adjustable steering wheel

The new Gurkha 5 Door is available in 4 colour options:

New Force Gurkha 5 Door Expected Price

The new Force Gurkha 5 Door is expected to cost around Rs. 16.50 lakh (ex-showroom) when it goes on sale in the first week of May 2024. Bookings for the Gurkha 5 Door are currently open for a token amount of Rs. 25,000.

When launched, the Gurkha 5 Door will serve as an alternative to the Jimny 5 Door and rival the Thar 5 Door, which is expected to launch in August 2024.
