Rank 2: Creta Flex Fuel
- Considering the government’s interest in creating a market for the bio-ethanol, there’s pressure and/or an urge to impress govt. officials.
- So, some carmakers are showcasing ethanol-based cars at the expo.
- The Creta Flex Fuel is something like that and it can run on up to 100% concentration of ethanol in petrol. The current petrol sold in the country contains 20% ethanol.
- The Creta Flex Fuel is powered by Hyundai’s 1.0L turbo petrol engine found in the Venue and i20.
- If the government mandates manufacturers to offer flex fuel vehicles, we could expect flex fuel variants of not just the Creta but also the Venue and i20 as well.
- The launch timeline for this car doesn’t exist right now. And if the total cost of ownership for ethanol doesn’t come significantly down, then the launch timeline will probably remain sometime in the future for the foreseeable future.

Rank 3: Staria
- Hyundai revealed the Staria MPV, a premium people-mover, at the Auto Expo 2025..
- Similar in size to the 2025 Kia Carnival, the Staria highlights Hyundai’s focus on spaciousness and versatility.
- Large glass areas and sliding rear doors enhance practicality and visibility.
- The interior of the 2025 Staria features a minimalist dashboard design and can accommodate up to 11 passengers in a 4-row configuration.
- Hyundai also offer 7- and 9-seater versions globally.
- The 7-seater configuration includes “Relaxation” seats in the second row, offering electronic reclining and sliding function for increased cargo space.
- The 9-seater version features swivel functionality for the second-row seats.
- Key features of the 2025 Staria MPV from Hyundai include
- Up to 7 airbags
- 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system
- Digital driver’s display
- 64-colour ambient lighting
- Optional Bose sound system
- Rear parking camera
- ADAS
- The Hyundai Staria is powered by a choice of 2.2L diesel engine, a 3.5L V6 normal petrol and a 1.6L petrol hybrid engine.
- Hyundai have not confirmed an India launch for the Staria yet.
- If launched, it will compete with the Kia Carnival and the upcoming MG M9 MPVs.

- The Ioniq 9 is offered with a large 110.3kWh battery pack.

- An official India launch is yet to be confirmed.

Rank 5 and 6: E3W and E4W Concepts
- Hyundai and TVS Motor Company are exploring a collaboration to develop electric 3-wheelers and micro 4-wheelers for the Indian market.
- The 2 brands revealed the E3W and E4W concept vehicles at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025.
- The E3W concept reimagines the traditional auto-rickshaw for various applications, including passenger transport, logistics, and emergency response.
- The E3W’s design prioritises safety and practicality with enhanced collision protection, a flat floor design, and a long wheelbase.
- Hyundai is considering features like heat-resistant gloss black roof paint to reduce interior temperatures and water-resistant cabin materials to withstand India's diverse climate.
- The E4W micro-4-wheeler concept resembles an electric rickshaw but features 4 wheels and a wider windshield.
- It is designed for urban environments and focuses on manoeuvrability and functionality. Notably, both concepts offer wheelchair accessibility.
- The potential partnership between Hyundai and TVS aims to address last-mile connectivity challenges in India with innovative and sustainable solutions.

Rank 7: Nexo Fuel Cell
- The Nexo is another car with a futuristic powertrain technology
- It runs on Hydrogen and uses fuel cell to convert it into electricity while spewing water into the atmosphere
- It first went on sale in 2018 and the car is yet to get any notable improvements as the technology didn’t take off
- These points make it far less exciting than some of the other cars at Hyundai’s Mobility Expo pavillion as they have a higher probability of making it to Indian Hyundai showroom
- As usual, Hyundai took this opportunity to showcase their diversified powertrain options and their expertise in fuel-cell technology
Auto Expo 2025: Hyundai Showcase Nexo Hydrogen Fuel-Cell Vehicle
Rank 8: Ioniq 5
- Just like the Nexo, the Ioniq 5 was another one of the less interesting cars at the Hyundai pavilion
- If the Ioniq 5 at the Mobility Expo had a dual-motor setup, that would have been something exciting, at least from the powertrain side but the one on display was the same as the one on sale in India for about 2 years
- Hence, the Ioniq 5 takes the last spot on this list
