Participating brands include Maruti Suzuki, Hyundai, Skoda, Mahindra, Tata Motors, Kia, MG, Toyota, Lexus, Mercedes-Benz, VinFast, BYD, and others. In this article, we take a look at the cars and SUVs that Hyundai are set to showcase at the Auto Expo 2025.
1. Creta EV (Confirmed)
With the Auto Expo just around the corner, we can expect Hyundai to showcase the upcoming Creta EV at the auto show. Traditionally, Hyundai have used the platform to announce prices of their new cars. At the 2020 Expo, they launched the Creta and at the 2023 Expo, they revealed the prices of the Ioniq 5.
We expect that at the 2025 Auto Expo, we will get the full launch and price announcement of the Creta EV 2025. Unlike the Kona EV sold in India before, the new Creta EV is expected to be underpinned by an all-new skateboard platform, which should enable Hyundai to package the batteries better to create a more usable cabin, boot and frunk. 2. Ioniq 5 Facelift (Expected)
Hyundai revealed the refreshed version of its Ioniq 5 electric SUV globally in March 2024. We expect the carmaker to showcase the Ioniq 5 facelift at the Auto Expo 2025 and launch it later in the year.
The updated Ioniq 5 features a larger battery, chassis enhancements for improved handling and safety, and a new sporty variant - the Ioniq 5 N Line – positioned below the high-performance Ioniq 5 N.
The Ioniq 5's overall design remains largely the same, but the facelift introduces redesigned front and rear bumpers and new aerodynamic alloy wheels. A key upgrade is the larger 84 kWh battery, replacing the previous 72.6 kWh unit, promising increased driving range. Expect Hyundai to reveal the ARAI-claimed range of the updated Ioniq 5 at the Auto Expo.
3. Ioniq 6 (Expected)
We also expect Hyundai to showcase the Ioniq 6 electric sedan at the Auto Expo 2025. If launched in India, the Ioniq 6 could take on the BYD Seal electric sedan, albeit with a slightly higher price tag.
The Hyundai Ioniq 6 stands out with its sleek, aerodynamic design and impressive electric powertrain options. In global markets, buyers can choose between rear-wheel drive (RWD) and all-wheel drive (AWD) configurations.
The RWD variant typically features a single electric motor mounted on the rear axle, delivering a balance of efficiency and performance. Power output varies depending on the battery pack chosen.
The AWD configuration adds a second electric motor to the front axle, providing enhanced traction and performance, especially in adverse weather conditions. This dual-motor setup significantly boosts power and acceleration.
4. Ioniq 9 (Expected)
Hyundai could also showcase their flagship EV – the Ioniq 9 SUV – at the Auto Expo 2025. Revealed globally in November 2024, the Ioniq 9 is yet to go on sale in international markets. Hence, we do not expect Hyundai to launch the Ioniq 9 in India in 2025. However, Hyundai could showcase it at the show to gauge customer response.

5. Hyundai Tucson Facelift (Expected)
Hyundai India are yet to confirm the launch of the Tucson facelift for the Indian market. However, considering the updated SUV is already on sale in international markets, we expect Hyundai India to launch th Tucson facelift on our shores in mid 2025.
The interior of the updated Tucson has undergone a significant redesign, most notably featuring 2 large, integrated displays. A single, curved panel now houses both the digital instrument cluster and the infotainment touchscreen. The steering wheel has also been updated, replacing the previous design with a more modern, 3-spoke unit. The centre console is more streamlined, with traditional buttons replaced by a touch-sensitive panel, similar to those found in recent Tata SUVs. These changes contribute to a more luxurious and sophisticated cabin with a futuristic aesthetic.
Externally, the Tucson’s updates are more subtle. The overall design remains largely unchanged, maintaining its distinctive appearance. However, the front grille has been redesigned, and minor adjustments have been made to the headlights. New skid plates have been added to the front and rear bumpers. The side profile retains its sharp lines, and the vehicle now rides on a new set of alloy wheels. In essence, Hyundai has opted for subtle refinements to the exterior, given the existing model's already striking design.
Expect the Hyundai Tucson facelift to offer the same 2L petrol-automatic and 2L diesel-automatic engines as the current model.
Other Hyundai Models At Auto Expo 2025
Apart from the above cars and SUVs, Hyundai could showcase models from their international portfolio, such as the Stargazer and Staria MPVs as well as the Santa Fe and Palisade SUVs.
We also expect to see accessorised and/or special edition versions of Hyundai’s current cars such as the i20 and Creta at the auto show.
