All New Maruti Suzuki Cars At Auto Expo 2025

Participating brands include Maruti Suzuki, Hyundai, Skoda, Mahindra, Tata Motors, Kia, MG, Toyota, Lexus, Mercedes-Benz, VinFast, BYD, and others. In this article, we take a look at the cars and SUVs that Maruti Suzuki are set to showcase at the Auto Expo 2025.

1. e Vitara (Confirmed)

Maruti Suzuki are set to reveal their first-ever born electric SUV, the e Vitara, at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025. Based on the eVX concept, Maruti Suzuki say the e Vitara is a global model manufactured in India for the world. The production-spec e Vitara was first showcased in Milan, Italy in November 2025, where Suzuki revealed the specifications of the global model. Despite this, Maruti Suzuki recently teased the e Vitara on their social media platforms, and we expect Maruti Suzuki to announce its prices at the Auto Expo 2025.

Underpinned by Suzuki’s Heartext-e platform, the e Vitara will offer a choice of 2 battery pack sizes. A 49kWh battery will be offered for front-wheel-drive models, while a larger 61kWh battery will be available for both front-wheel-drive and all-wheel-drive configurations. This flexibility allows customers to choose the powertrain that best suits their needs and driving style.

2. Hustler EV (Expected)

In January 2023, Maruti Suzuki confirmed their plans to launch 6 new all-electric vehicles in India by the year 2030. During the announcement, Maruti Suzuki shared an image of the 6 upcoming EVs. While the image only featured silhouettes of the 6 EVs, one of them looked like the Hustler, a crossover SUV-style kei car sold in Japan.

While Maruti Suzuki have already confirmed the production-spec version of the eVX concept, the e Vitara, will be present at the Auto Expo 2025, we believe the carmaker could showcase the Hustler EV alongside it to gauge customer response before making a decision about its market introduction, possibly by 2026.

Although Suzuki haven’t revealed any specifications of the upcoming Hustler EV, we expect it to share its powertrain with the Wagon-R EV prototype that the brand have been testing since 2018. The carmaker planned to bring the Wagon-R EV to the market but later scrapped it due to its inability of justifying the premium over the petrol-powered Wagon-R. However, Suzuki could take what they have learnt from testing the Wagon-R EV and implement them in the Hustler EV. To that effect, we expect the Hustler EV to get a sub-30kWh battery pack and offer a driving range of close to 250km on a single charge.

3. Grand Vitara 7 Seater (Expected)

Maruti Suzuki were spotted testing the Grand Vitara 7 seater earlier this month. Reports suggest that the Grand Vitara 7 Seater will share its platform with the Grand Vitara 5 seater while  borrowing design cues from the upcoming e Vitara electric SUV. We expect the Grand Vitara 7 seater to get an extended wheelbase to accommodate the extra row of seats. The 7 seater iteration of the Grand Vitara strong hybrid could get a revised layout for the batteries as well.

We expect Maruti Suzuki to showcase the Grand Vitara 7 seater at the Auto Expo 2025 and launch it later in the year, probably around the 2025 festive season, as the SUV is still undergoing testing.

Other Maruti Suzuki Cars At Auto Expo 2025

Heavily Accessorised Models

Maruti Suzuki tend to showcase heavily accessorised versions of their current cars at the Auto Expo. Last time around, they showcased the Baleno and Cia Gold Edition. Similarly, we expect Maruti to showcase a heavily accessorised, off-road spec version of the Jimny 4x4 with larger wheels and tyres and other off-road accoutrements like spot lights, light bars and a winch.

Similarly, we could also expect Maruti to showcase the new Swift with a sporty body kit and upgraded wheels and tyres at the auto show.

Wagon R Flex Fuel

Maruti Suzuki have showcased the Wagon R Flex Fuel at several auto shows for the past few years, including the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2024. At its last outing, the Wagon R Flex Fuel was still a prototype running on flex fuel as part of the brand’s evaluation of flex fuel technology for the Indian market.

The Wagon R Flex Fuel is designed to run on an ethanol-petrol blend between 20 percent (E20) and 85 percent (E85) Vehicles designed to run on flex fuel require several modifications compared to standard petrol engines to accommodate ethanol’s corrosive properties and reduced energy content.

The Wagon R flex fuel prototype incorporates new fuel system technologies, including a heated fuel rail to aid cold starts and an ethanol sensor for determining ethanol concentration. Enhancements to the engine management system, fuel pump, fuel injectors, and other mechanical components improve engine durability. The engine also meets the stricter BS6 Phase-II emission standards.
