Rank 1: Urban Cruiser EV (eVitara-based Electric SUV)
- The Urban Cruiser EV, which Toyota are calling the Urban BEV Concept, was also present at the 2025 Expo
- This car takes the top spot because:
- It’s the most exciting car expected to come from Toyota either by late 2025 or early in 2026
- Unlike most cars on display at the expo, which are either already on sale or won’t ever hit the Indian showrooms, this one will go on sale in India
- Moreover, this car will probably be well within the means of a large number of car buyers
- Finally, it’s based on the Maruti e-Vitara, which created quite a lot of buzz during the unveiling of a production-ready version of the car; so some of the hype is bound to carry over to the Urban BEV as well
- Just like the eVitara, we can expect the Urban Cruiser EV to offer a little over 500km of range from the larger 61kWh battery variant
- The range with the smaller 49kWh variant is likely to be a little over 400km
- The power and torque specs are likely to be also identical to those of the e-Vitara with 144PS/174PS of power output depending on the battery pack and 192.5Nm of torque

Rank 2: X-Van (Gear Edition Only)
- The X-Van Gear concept at the Auto Expo 2025 was another interesting thing to watch
- Among the 3 X-Van versions, the one showcased at the Mobility Expo 2025 was the Gear concept
- The Core version is more family-friendly while the Tool is suitable for an active outdoorsy lifestyle
- The Gear strikes the balance of outdoor excursions and the vibe of togetherness in one
- It’s unclear if or when the X-Van will go into production
- In fact, Toyota haven’t even revealed what kind of powertrain options it will offer or even what fuel it will run on
- So, it could become an electric van, or a hybrid van or a fuel-cell version or it could offer more than one of these options
- The X-Van is likely to replace the Hi-Ace van
- To do that, it will need a liquid fuel option but if the HiAce remains on sale even after the launch of X-Van, then it could experiment with a new-generation fuel option like hydrogen fuel cell or electric

Rank 3: Prius Flex Fuel Plug-In Hybrid
- There are 2 stand out features of the Prius Flex Fuel Plug-In Hybrid showcased at the Auto Expo 2025:
- It can run on up to 85% ethanol mixed in petrol
- It doesn’t need to do that as it can also charge its 13.6kWh battery from a power outlet and go up to 87km on a single charge
- This is one of the vehicles from Toyota at the Expo to convince the govt. officials that Toyota are willing to assist them in moving people away from fuel options that maximise the government’s ability to collect the highest possible tax from the car buyers and owners and stay on their good side (Also Read: Auto Expo 2025: Tata Punch Flex Fuel E100 Ethanol Showcased)

Rank 4: Hilux Fuel Cell Vehicle
- The Hilux fuel cell was also present at the Expo 2025
- This is to demonstrate Toyota’s expertise and foresight into hydrogen as a future fuel for transportation
- The Hilux FCV present at the expo had a 1.2kWh battery pack and the capacity to hold up to 7.8kg of hydrogen in its 3 cylinders at a pressure of more than 10,000psi
- With a full tank, the Hilux FCV can go up to 600km
- The Hilux Fuel Cell has a max power output of 182PS and a peak torque of 300Nm; so, plenty to move a hulking pickup

Rank 5: New Camry 2025
- The new Camry was also present at the Auto Expo 2025
- It has an ARAI mileage 25.49kmpl, which is right up there with an entry-level hatchback like the Swift AMT (25.75kmpl) and better than the Swift manual (24.80kmpl)
- The new Camry is a lot more sporty to help attract buyers who also prefer to drive themselves occasionally; after all, that’s where the biggest gains are: people who want a chauffeur-driven car that they can also drive themselves without looking like a chauffeur and have fun while they're driving it
- In terms of safety features, the Camry is impeccably loaded with driver knee airbag and rear side thorax airbags in addition to the usual 6 airbags we see in many mass-market cars
- The feature set also includes ADAS suite including adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go traffic assist
Rank 6: BZ4X Electric Crossover
- The BZ4X takes a lower spot than the Camry since this is not likely to go on sale in India anytime soon
- The BZ4X is an electric car from Toyota — as in, one with Toyota’s R&D
- The BZ in the name is short for Beyond Zero — as in, beyond zero emissions
- The 4 in BZ4X indicates the 4WD ability of the car and X means it’s a crossover
- This is what happens when a carmaker not interested in making EVs is forced to make an EV; even the names come out half-baked

Rank 7: Others
- In the others group, we had a bunch of cars from Toyota’s current portfolio on sale in India such as the Glanza, Crysta, Hycross, Hyryder, Rumion and Fortuner
