3 New BYD Cars At 2025 Auto Expo | V3Cars

Participating brands include Maruti Suzuki, Hyundai, Skoda, Mahindra, Tata Motors, Kia, MG, Toyota, Lexus, Mercedes-Benz, VinFast, BYD, and others. This article will focus on the cars that BYD are likely to showcase at the Expo. Our list includes the Seagull and Dolphin electric hatchbacks.  ̃

1. Seagull (Expected)

BYD are likely to showcase their smallest offering to date – the Seagull – at the 2025 Bharat Mobility Global Expo. The BYD Seagull is a 5-door compact electric hatchback designed for urban commuting. Powered by a battery pack ranging from 30kWh to 38kWh, the Seagull is expected to deliver an estimated range of 355km on a single charge.

Despite its compact dimensions, the Seagull is expected to offer a surprisingly spacious cabin characterised by a minimalist design and an array of modern technologies.

2. Dolphin (Expected)

BYD have filed a trademark application for the “Dolphin EV” in India, strongly suggesting that this electric hatchback will soon make its way to the Indian market. The Dolphin EV is expected to be BYD’s most affordable electric offering in India. This 4-door hatchback boasts a length exceeding 4.2 meters and is powered by a 60.4kWh battery pack. The electric motor delivers an impressive 201PS and 290Nm of torque.  

A key highlight of the Dolphin EV is its rapid charging capabilities. BYD claims that the battery can be charged from 30% to 80% in just 29 minutes using a 100kW DC fast charger. If launched in India, the Dolphin EV could be a strong contender in the growing Indian electric vehicle market, offering a compelling combination of affordability, performance, and practicality.

3. Atto 2 (Expected)

While BYD haven’t confirmed the list of cars they plan to showcase at the Auto Expo 2025, they mentioned they will feature  models from their global lineup, including concepts and prototypes. To that effect, we expect BYD to showcase the Atto 2 electric SUV at the auto show. As the name suggests, the Atto 2 is smaller than the Atto 3. Built on the brand's e-platform 3.0, it is offered with 2 battery options: 32kWh and 45.1kWh, delivering ranges of up to 301km and 401km (CLTC cycle), respectively. Key features include an 8.8-inch LCD instrument cluster, a 12.8-inch rotating infotainment system, perforated leatherette upholstery, a crystal gear selector, a wireless charging pad, and more.   

Other BYD EVs At Auto Expo 2025

Apart from the above models, we expect BYD to showcase their current lineup of EVs, including the Atto 3, Seal and eMax7, at the Auto Expo 2025.
