12 JSW MG Cars At 2025 Auto Expo | V3Cars

MG are showcasing 12 cars at their Bharat Mobility Expo booth in Hall Number 2, Bharat Mandappam, Delhi. Here is our ranking for each MG car at the Auto Expo along with the information on what makes them special. This information should help you decide what MG cars you should see at the Auto Expo and which ones you can skip.

All New MG Cars At Auto Expo 2025

Rank 1: Cyberster

  • The convertible 2-door electric sportscar is the showstopper at the Auto Expo.
  • It has scissor doors that open and close electrically.
  • The soft top can also open and close with a button inside the cabin.
  • With 2 motors and 4WD setup, the Cyberster can hit 0-100kmph in 3.2 seconds.
  • It’ll have 500km+ range.
  • Reservations for the Cyberster are open. The bookings will start in March and the deliveries will commence in April 2025.
  • This car will be sold only from MG Select outlets and to maintain some exclusivity, we expect this car to cost between Rs. 85.0 and 99.0 lakh (ex-showroom).
  • Since this car is a full import, it can command a high premium. However, keeping it a shade under Rs. 1.0 crore will give MG the right to call it a 1 CR car while keeping it below the psychological barrier of 1 CR.

MG Cyberster Electric Revealed At 2025 Auto Expo – Open For Reservations

Rank 2: M9

  • The MG M9 is a luxurious electric MPV to compete against the Kia Carnival and Toyota Vellfire.
  • The M9 certainly appears more luxurious in person than the Kia Carnival and it could comfortably compete with the overpriced Vellfire.
  • To embarrass the overpriced Kia Carnival and capture a good chunk of their customers, we expect the M9 to cost more than the Carnival but not too high either so as to remain within the considerations of a Carnival buyer. It could cost between Rs. 70.0 and 80.0 lakh (ex-sh).
  • The reservations for the M9 are also open. Bookings will formally commence in March with deliveries in April 2025.

MG M9 MPV Revealed At 2025 Auto Expo – Reservations Started

Rank 3: Majestor

  • The Majestor is another car worth a look at the Mobility Expo 2025.
  • What Legender is to Fortuner, the same relationship the Majestor has with the Gloster.
  • It’s likely to get the high-end, 2.0L twin turbo diesel engine with 8-speed torque converter automatic and 4WD. After all, it’s positioned above the Gloster.
  • Besides the visual upgrades, we don’t expect it to get any significantly large number of features over the already-feature-loaded Gloster.
  • The full price list will be announced later this year; possibly around mid-2025.

Rank 4: S5 (Next-Gen ZS EV)

  • The MG booth also had the next-gen ZS EV but it was carrying a different name: S5.
  • Unlike the current ZS, the S5 gets an EV-specific platform and a larger battery pack to deliver more than 500k  of range.
  • It will eventually go on sale in India to compete against the Tata Curvv EV, Hyundai Creta Electric, Maruti E-Vitara, MG Windsor and the Mahindra BE 6.

Rank 5: MG Midget

  • The Midget is a piece of MG’s history; a small 2-door convertible car.
  • The Midget is revered by vintage car enthusiasts around the world and it’s now a collectible.
  • The Midget was made between 1961 and 1979.
  • Now that the Indian government is no longer interested in allowing older cars to run on the road, it’s a car worth seeing at the Expo as a symbol of automotive history.

Rank 6: ZS Hybrid

  • The ZS Hybrid was primarily on display to showcase MG’s breadth of expertise in various powertrains.
  • While they mostly focus on electric cars in India and have a few petrol and diesel cars to cover their bases, they also have experience making hybrids and the ZS was on display to convey that.
  • Another thing worth noting is that the ZS Hybrid at the MG booth was wearing a the design of the new ZS/Astor. So, it gives us an idea of what the new MG Astor might look like in the future.
  • The ZS Hybrid also opens the possibility of MG bringing hybrid powertrain for the Astor.

Rank 7: HS Plug-In Hybrid

  • Just like the ZS Hybrid, the HS showcases MG’s expertise in the plug-in hybrid space.
  • Plug-in hybrid means, you can charge the car and drive it for shorter distances within the city just like an electric car but for long drives, you can switch back to the petrol engine.

Rank 8: IM5

  • While there are only a few sedan lovers left in India, those who love a proportional and curvy 3-box design, MG are displaying the IM5 sedan at the auto expo.
  • The IM5 is an electric sedan. In the international markets, this car gets up to 100kWh battery pack for 800km+ range.
  • While you can’t see it in action, the IM5 gets 4-wheel steering.

Rank 9: IM6

  • If you fancy a low-slung car with a coupe roofline, the IM6 should be in your list of cars to see at the Mobility Expo.
  • The IM6 shares the platform and powertrain with the IM5.
  • Like the IM5, the IM6 also gets 4-wheel steering

Rank 10: MG 7 Trophy+

  • It’s difficult to justify placing this car so low on the list but given the list of exciting cars at MG’s expo pavilion, it’s difficult to move something lower to move the MG7 Trophy higher up on the list.
  • The MG 7 Trophy Plus gets turbo petrol powertrain options, which is starting to fall out of favour, especially in MG’s portfolio.
  • For old-school sporty sedan enthusiasts, the MG 7 Trophy is a great car to ogle at the Mobility Expo.

Rank 11: Gloster

  • The Gloster at the Auto Expo is pretty much the same as the one on sale from the dealers with some extra accessories.

Rank 12: Windsor

  • Just like the Gloster, the Windsor at the Auto Expo also doesn’t have anything special besides a few dealer-level accessories.

Rank 13: Comet Blackstorm

  • During the press conference, we also spotted the Comet Blackstorm edition at the MG’s Auto Expo booth but this was later removed.
  • You may or may not see it at the Auto Expo. Hence, the lowest rank among MG cars at Mobility Expo.
