What Is The Lexus ROV 2 Concept?

The Lexus ROV 2 concept isn’t your typical off-roader. It’s a hydrogen-powered, open-top, luxury recreational off-highway vehicle (ROV) designed to offer a unique blend of exhilarating performance and environmental consciousness.

Its aggressive styling and robust build suggest a vehicle ready to conquer challenging terrains while still providing the refined experience synonymous with the Lexus brand.

Lexus ROV 2 Gets Distinctive Design And Features

The ROV 2 concept sports a futuristic and rugged aesthetic. Key design highlights include:

• Unique Cockpit: Emphasising the connection with nature, the ROV 2 gets an open cockpit protected by a roll cage and a removable roof panel to offer an immersive off-road experience.

• Air-Less Tyres: That’s right, the ROV 2 concept runs on air-less tyres that are immune to punctures or blowouts. This is especially useful while off-roading.   
• Exposed Suspension: The exposed suspension system not only adds to the rugged look but also showcases the vehicle’s engineering prowess.
• Luxury Touches: Despite its rugged nature, the ROV 2 doesn't skimp on luxury. Lexus ROV 2 Powertrain Specs

The Lexus ROV 2 concept off-road vehicle gets a hydrogen fuel cell powertrain that highlights Lexus’ commitment to sustainable mobility. Powered by a 1L, 3-cylinder engine that runs on gaseous hydrogen, Lexus claim the ROV 2 generates zero tailpipe emissions. However, the carmaker are yet to reveal the power and torque figures of this unique engine. Power is sent to the wheels via a sequential gearbox with paddle shifters and the ROV 2 concept even boasts 2WD and 4WD with differential lock.

Will The Lexus ROV 2 Launch In India? 

The Lexus ROV 2 concept is not necessarily a preview of a production model. Instead, it serves as an exploration of future possibilities in the off-road luxury segment.
