All New Kia Cars At Auto Expo 2025

Participating brands include Maruti Suzuki, Hyundai, Skoda, Mahindra, Tata Motors, Kia, MG, Toyota, Lexus, Mercedes-Benz, VinFast, BYD, and others. In this article, we take a look at the cars and SUVs that Kia are set to showcase at the Auto Expo 2025.

1. Syros (Confirmed)

Kia unveiled their brand new B2-segment SUV, the Syros, on December 19, 2024. However, Kia India are yet to reveal the variant-wise prices of the Syros. The all-new Syros is available with 2 engine options – a 1L turbo petrol and a 1.5L diesel – and when launched, it will slot in between the Sonet and Seltos SUVs.

The four 2025 Kia Syros petrol-manual variants are likely to cost between Rs. 9.0 lakh and Rs. 12.0 lakh (ex-showroom). We expect the petrol-automatic variants to start from Rs. 12.20 lakh and go up to Rs. 15.20 lakh. As for the diesel variants, we expect them to range from Rs. 11.0 lakh for the HTK (O) diesel-manual to Rs. 15.90 lakh for the HTX Plus (O) top model with diesel-automatic powertrain.

2. Carens Facelift (Expected)

Apart from the Syros B2-SUV, we also expect Kia to showcase the Carens facelift at the Auto Expo 2025. First launched in February 2022, the Kia Carens is due for a cosmetic update to keep it fresh in its segment. The Carens facelift is likely to borrow design cues from Kia’s latest EVs such as the EV6 and EV9. However, we expect Kia to retain the Carens’ current powertrain options, which includes a 1.5L normal petrol, 1.5L turbo petrol and a 1.5L diesel engine. Currently, the Carens is priced between Rs. 10.52 lakh to Rs. 19.94 lakh (ex-showroom). With the update, we expect the top variant of the Carens to cross the Rs. 20 lakh mark.

3. Carens EV (Expected)

Kia are also expected to showcase the Carens EV at the upcoming Auto Expo. Spy shots of the Carens EV undergoing tests surfaced on the internet all throughout 2024 and we expect Kia to launch the all-electric Carens in mid-2025.

The upcoming Kia Carens EV will share its underpinnings with the Creta EV, including the platform and several key mechanical components. While retaining the overall silhouette of the standard Carens, the electric version will feature distinct styling elements, particularly at the front, with a closed-off grille likely inspired by the design of the Kia EV9 flagship SUV.

Spy shots reveal subtle differences in the rear suspension setup and the absence of exhaust pipes, further emphasising the electric nature of the vehicle.  The Carens EV will face competition primarily from the BYD e6, making it a niche player in the Indian market.
