Uno Minda Showcase Advanced Driving Technologies At Auto Expo Components 2023 | V3Cars

Uno Minda showcased their TD423, TD323 and TD223 concepts that solve multiple problems and promise to deliver a safe mobility experience. The introduction of these features are likely to filter down to more smarter yet affordable vehicles across all body types and segments. The pavilion showcased multiple technologies, including the one Uno Minda are currently working on to bring to the market in the future. The visitors also got a chance to physically interact with the concepts and understand the technologies associated with them. Let’s take a brief look at the different technologies showcased with the concepts.

Uno Minda TD423 Buck

The Buck is a unique 4-wheeled technology demonstrator that showcases multiple technologies developed by Uno Minda. The Buck features a driver monitoring system that tracks driver activities and patterns to understand fatigue level. The Buck also gets front and rear radar systems along with cameras that work in conjunction to offer advanced driver assistance systems. It also introduces a high performance central compute unit, which acts as a master control for advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) functions. This system is called “Nav Ikshana” that in Sanskrit translates to sight, care and superintendence.

Unlike regular cars, the Buck gets an e-mirror for the side and rear views. It incorporates cameras on the side fenders and at the rear to give a real-time feed of the outside world. This not only gives a wider field of view but also cuts down unnecessary reflections and glare. It further offers the option to adjust the view, including zoom and object detection.

To show feed from multiple cameras all around, the buck comes with a panorama view on the inside — incorporating a total of 5 displays. Three 12.3-inch displays take the centre stage offering driver instrumentation and multimedia features. It also gets two 7-inch displays, sitting at the ends of the single cluster, offering the feed from the side cameras, virtually replacing the need of side view mirrors.

Besides ADAS function, TD423 also showcased Dynamic Pixelated Front Grill, Illuminated Badge, Front Singature DRL, E-Horn and AVAS, Capacitive Touch Controls, Logo projector, Alloy Wheel with Aero Insert etc.

Alongside the TD423 buck, Uno Minda also showcased TD323 3-wheeler concept and TD223 2-wheeler concept, showing the advanced emerging technologies that we can expect in the future. 

Uno Minda TD323

Starting with the TD323 that is an all-electric 3-wheeler, it comes with an EV skateboard platform It boasts several lightweight components, including a cargo box made out of paper honeycomb composites, resulting in weight reduction by 30%. With the TD323, the development has now moved from 800W charger to 2200W, which has made it up to 90% efficient for better battery backup.

Uno Minda TD223

Talking about the T223 concept, it brings a fresh design to the Electric 2-wheeler space along with a couple of features that you only get in the luxury motorcycles. Starting with the handle grips and seat that are heated with custom temperature control. The battery placement is within the centre tunnel, offering an unobtrusive riding experience. It also incorporates a 7.0-inch screen that supports smartphone projection with both Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.

The TD223 also demonstrated Bi-functional LED front projector lamp, LED turn blinkers, an ARAS front cam, an off-board charger for quick charger, an adjustable lever, Bluetooth Low Energy Tyre Pressure Monitoring System, AVAS, logo projector and LED rear combi lamp.

Furthermore, Uno Minda also boast an in-house design team to offer design consulting to various vehicle manufacturers across the globe.
