Tata Tigor XZ Plus Leather Pack Introduced In Top Variant | V3Cars

Tata Motors have introduced a new Tigor XZ Plus Leatherette Pack variant with the petrol-manual, petrol-automatic and CNG-manual powertrains. It’s available with and without dual-tone roof options. Compared to the regular top variants with the fabric upholstery, the leather pack offers faux leather upholstery. The ex-showroom price of Tigor Leather Pack is Rs. 20,000 more than the XZ Plus variant. For XZ Plus dual-tone buyers, the leather pack is Rs. 19,000 pricier. The ex-showroom prices of the other variants are the same as before.

Tata Tigor

Tata had recently introduced this feature in the Tigor EV along with cruise control, auto headlamps, auto wipers and tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS). The cruise control and TPMS remain exclusive to the EV while the auto headlamps and auto wipers were already available in the Tigor petrol and CNG. The leather upholstery, which is a simpler upgrade to implement, made it to the Tigor petrol and CNG models. Meanwhile, features like LED headlamps and front armrest are not available with any powertrain-variant combination of the Tigor.

We wish Tata Motors offered this feature as a dealer-level accessory instead of adding it to the ex-showroom price. This would keep the ex-showroom price intact and offer the feature to the customer for less money. In such an instance, the on-road price calculation would take the ex-showroom price as the baseline to add the taxes and fees, which are usually calculated in percentage of the ex-showroom price. Therefore, you’re paying a higher registration fee and road tax because of the leather seat upholstery.
