Tata Curvv Continues Testing Ahead Of July Launch – Spied Yet Again | V3Cars
The Tata Curvv was spotted testing yet again recently wearing heavy camouflage. The latest spy shots come after a near-production ready version of the Curvv was unveiled at the first Bharat Mobility Expo at the end of January 2024.
What Do The Latest Tata Curvv Spy Shots Reveal?
Although covered in heavy camouflage, the latest spy shots of the Curvv do not reveal any new details. Up front, the Curvv features Tata’s latest design language that includes elements such as split LED headlamps housed lower down the front bumper and slim LED DRLs on the edge of the bonnet. The front grille of the Curvv showcased at the Bharat Mobility Expo also features chrome embellishments on the grille and lower air dam.
Around the side, the latest spy shot shows the sloping roofline of the Tata Curvv apart from its aero-optimised alloy wheels. Like the 2024 Nexon, the Curvv is expected to eater black cladding on the wheel arches and lower portion of the doors. At the rear, expect the Curvv to come with features like a shark fin antenna, roof spoiler, LED connected tail lamps, and a faux silver skid plate.
Tata Curvv Interior And Features
While the latest spy shots do not give us a glimpse of the Curvv’s interior, we managed to catch a glimpse of it at the 2024 Bharat Mobility Expo. Tata are likely to offer the Curvv with a 10.25-ich digital driver’s display, a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 4-spoke steering wheel with illuminated logo borrowed from the Harrier, and even a panoramic sunroof in higher variants.
Other features we expect to see inside the cabin of the Curvv include a touch-based climate control panel and ventilated front seats. In terms of safety features, expect the Curvv to offer 6 airbags as standard, while the mid and higher variants could get a 360-degree surround view monitor and advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS).

Tata Curvv Expected Powertrain Options
A few days ahead of the 2024 Bharat Mobility Expo, Tata Motors confirmed the diesel engine specs of the Curvv SUV. The diesel engine in question is the same 1.5-litre 4-cylinder unit that powers the 2024 Tata Nexon. The 1.5L diesel engine produces 116PS of power and 260Nm of torque. Transmission options for the Curvv diesel are not known at the moment. While the Nexon diesel comes with a 6-speed manual and AMT options, the Curvv could come with a more advanced automatic transmission option as it sits in a segment above and is aimed at best-sellers like the Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos diesel.
We expect the Tata Curvv petrol to get the same 1.2-litre 3-cylinder turbo petrol engine as Nexon 2024. With 120PS of power and 170Nm of torque, this engine should help the Curvv offer similar performance as its rivals equipped with their respective normal petrol engine options. For comparison, the 2024 Hyundai Creta’s 1.5L normal petrol engine produces 115PS of power and 140Nm of torque, while the Grand Vitara’s 1.5L normal petrol engine puts out 103PS of power and 137Nm of torque. The Tata Curvv petrol is likely to get 2 transmission options – a 6-speed manual and a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic.
As for the Tata Curvv EV, we expect it to feature the same electric powertrain as the Nexon EV long range. The Nexon EV long range is powered by a 40.5kWh battery pack and it produces 145PS of power, 215Nm of torque and an ARAI-certified range of 465km per charge. However, unlike the Nexon EV, the Curvv EV’s new Gen2 EV platform could help it offer a range of over 500km per charge.
