2024 Mahindra XUV.e8 Patent Image Leaked | V3Cars

Mahindra revealed the XUV.e8 concept back in August 2022. Ever since the global debut of the concept, we have seen multiple spy shots of the XUV.e8 undergoing tests with the XUV700 body shell. A leaked patent image now gives us a sneak peek into the design of the upcoming XUV.e8.

Mahindra XUV.e8 Design Patent Leaked

The new image reveals the design of the XUV.e8 that remains closer to that of the XUV700, albeit with a few EV specific changes. To start with, it features a full-width LED DRL design that further extends into the bumper around the edges and merges with the main headlights. The LED headlights sit below the LED DRL in a 2-part cluster, which features copper accents. Like every other EV, the XUV.e8 also gets an enclosed grille at the front and features the twin peaks Mahindra logo.

Around the side, the XUV.e8 gets flush-fitting door handles like the ones seen on the XUV700. However, the window line trim gets a copper finish while the XUV700 gets chrome. The patent image doesn’t give us a glimpse of its rear profile. However, since the front and side profile remains closer to the concept, the rear is also likely to boast the features shown in the concept.

Furthermore, Mahindra revealed that the XUV.e8 will measure 4740mm in length, 1900mm in width and 1760mm in height. It will sit on the born-electric INGLO platform and boast a wheelbase of 2762mm. While Mahindra are yet to reveal the powertrain details of the XUV.e8, they confirmed that it will offer intelligent 4-wheel-drive. The recently showcased Tata Harrier EV concept also featured 4-wheel-drive, making it a worthy competitor to the XUV.e8.
