At the front, the new-gen Swift gets a bigger honeycomb-mesh grille and LED headlights. It also gets a larger clamshell bonnet, having a closer shutline to the grille. At the side, the Swift gets all-black alloy wheels and the rear door handles have moved to the conventional position from the C-pillars.

Around the rear, the new Swift continues to get a curvy stace but with an elongated tail gate. We expect the tail lights to grow bigger and have a new LED element. The lower part of the bumper also gets horizontally-stacked reflectors.

On the powertrain front, the 2023 Maruti Suzuki Swift is likely to carry the same 1.2L dual-jet normal petrol engine. In the current form, this engine produces 83PS of power at 6000rpm and 113Nm of torque at 4200rpm. It comes mated to either a 5-speed manual or a 5-speed automated manual transmission.

2023 Swift

Maruti Suzuki launched the 3rd-gen Swift in February 2018. It then received a facelift in February 2021 along with a new engine and features. With the completion of the life cycle for the 3rd-gen Swift, Suzuki have started working on the 4th-gen model. We expect the 4th-gen Swift to hit the markets sometime in 2023. It will continue to rival other hatchbacks like the Tata Tiago, Hyundai Grand i10, Citroen C3 and Tata Punch.
