2022 Force Gurkha 5 Door

Force Motors aim to reinforce their passenger car business with the Gurkha 5 door. The Gurkha 3 door is performing reasonably well, considering it is a niche priced, and the Gurkha 5 door will only help Force find more customers. Apart from having 5 doors and comfortable seating for 7 passengers, the Gurkha 5 door is also likely to boast some design and functional changes.

On the design front, the Gurkha 5 door gets minimal tweaks over the 3 door model. The glass area is generous with an upright A-pillar and flat roof. Up front, the Gurkha 5 door continues to get round LED headlights. Needless to say, the whole design takes inspiration from the Mercedes G-Class. Around the side, it gets bigger dual-tone 18-inch alloy wheels with 255/65 R18 tyres. At the rear, the Gurkha 5 door gets a side opening tailgate with spare wheel mounting.

We are yet to get a sneak peek at the interiors of the Gurkha 5 door. We can expect a tweaked dashboard layout with more creature comforts. These could include steering-mounted controls, auto AC, multiple airbags, power windows and electrically-adjustable ORVMs.

While the details about the powertrain are scarce, we expect the Gurkha 5 door to carry the 2.6L diesel engine found in the Gurkha 3 door, albeit with a more powerful state of tune. In addition to that, the Gurkha 5 door could also offer the option of an automatic transmission.

The Force Gurkha 5 door will not have any direct rivals at launch. Meanwhile, Mahindra are reportedly working on the Thar 5 door whereas the Suzuki Jimny 5 door was recently spied testing. However, the launch timelines for the aforementioned models are yet to be determined.
