2022 BMW X3 Now Also Available With A Diesel Engine | V3Cars

A couple of weeks ago, BMW India launched the 2022 X3 with a petrol engine. Now, BMW have launched a diesel version of the X3 in the form of a Luxury edition, which is priced at Rs. 65.50 lakh (ex-showroom). With the 2022 model, BMW have done some design refinements along with a host of new technology.

The BMW X3 Luxury comes with a 2.0L turbo diesel engine that produces 190PS of power and 400Nm of torque between 1750rpm and 2500rpm. This engine comes coupled with an 8-speed torque converter automatic transmission which channels power to all four wheels. The BMW X3 xDrive20d can do the 0-100kmph sprint in a claimed 7.9 seconds, while the top speed is limited to 213kmph. The 2.0L turbo petrol engine, on the other hand, produces 252PS of power and 350Nm of torque.

The new X3 comes with a redesigned yet sizable kidney grille, updated LED Matrix headlights, reworked bumpers, 19-inch M Sport alloy wheels, and new LED tail lights. Buyers also get the option to upgrade to 20-inch alloy wheels. The top-spec M Sport trim gets sportier bumpers, larger air intakes, an M Sport steering wheel with paddle shifters, and an M Sport alloy wheel design.

On the inside, the new X3 gets a bigger 12.3-inch floating xDrive infotainment system. Other changes include redesigned AC vents, updated centre console, and updated air-con controls. On the features front, the 2022 X3 offers a panoramic sunroof, digital instrument cluster, paddle shifters, adaptive dampers, multi-drive modes, and a 3-zone climate control.

The BMW X3 is priced from Rs. 59.99 lakh to Rs. 65.90 lakh ex-showroom. It rivals other luxury SUVs like the Audi Q5, Mercedes-Benz GLC, Volvo XC60, Jaguar F-Pace, and the Range Rover Evoque.
