The 2022 Maruti Suzuki Baleno has traded the outgoing model’s normal and mild-hybrid engines for the normal dual-jet petrol engine. The 1.2L normal petrol engine produces 90PS of power and 113Nm of torque. The new Baleno will be offered with two transmission options — a 5-speed manual and a 5-speed AMT. Thanks to the addition of AMT, we expect the automatic variants to be priced similar to the CVT-equipped variants of the outgoing model. Maruti Suzuki is likely to price the Baleno from Rs. 6.3 lakh to Rs. 9.5 lakh ex-showroom.
