10 Features Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder Gets But Skoda Kushaq Doesn’t | V3Cars
The Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder is the newest entrant in the C-segment SUV space. It rivals other C-segment SUVs like the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, MG Astor, Skoda Kushaq and Volkswagen Taigun.
In this article, we share the list of features that you get in the Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder over the Skoda Kushaq.
1. Height-Adjustable Seatbelts
The new Hyryder comes with height adjustable seatbelts for the driver and front co-passenger. Height adjustable seatbelts ensure safety of children and shorter adults in case of an impact by reducing the pressure on the chest and neck, if adjusted properly. It’s shocking that the Skoda Kushaq does not have this feature.
2. Rear Disc Brakes
The Hyryder comes with 4 disc brakes as standard across all variants. The Skoda Kushaq, on the other hand, comes with drum brakes at the rear even in the GT variant.
3. Hill-Descent Control
The 4-wheel-drive variant of the Toyota Hyryder comes with hill descent control that limits the speed when you are descending from a slope.

4. 4-Wheel Drive
The Toyota Hyryder comes with 4-wheel-drive along with the 5-speed manual transmission. It further incorporates various driving modes like sports, snow and auto.
5. 360-Degree Parking Camera
The new Hyryder comes with a 360-degree parking camera that offers a birds-eye view of the surroundings. Although the Hyryder and Kushaq lack front parking sensors, the Hyryder alerts the driver in case it comes close to any obstacle while parking.
6. Auto-Folding ORVMs
Auto-folding ORVMs is a common feature in this segment and like most C-segment SUVs, the Toyota Hyryder gets auto-folding ORVMs. However, the Skoda Kushaq lacks this feature.
7. Drive Modes
The Hyryder comes with drive modes in the 4-wheel-drive variant. It gets auto, snow and sports mode along with a 4-wheel-drive lock mode.
8. Head-Up Display
The new Hyryder comes with a head-up display that offers vital information like fuel efficiency, vehicle speed and engine RPM. The Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara and Kia Seltos are the other 2 SUVs in this class to offer a head-up display.

9. Reclining Rear Seat
The rear seats of the Hyryder offer a reclining backrest to provide better comfort. However, we found that the rear backrest in the Hyryder is too upright and the reclining feature doesn’t help much.
10. Panoramic Sunroof
The Toyota Hyryder offers the largest panoramic sunroof in its segment. Thanks to its sliding 2nd pane, the Hyryder gets a large and wide opening. The Kushaq, on the other hand, comes with a smaller, regular sunroof,
