Most Notable Features Of MG MG4

The most notable feature of the MG4 electric hatchback is its all-electric skateboard platform. MG offer the MG4 with 2 battery pack options — 51kWh and 64kWh. While it looks small thanks to its hatchback styling, the MG4 actually measures similar to the MG ZS EV. The next-gen MG ZS EV will share its powertrain and underpinnings with the MG4.

MG MG4 Expected Specs

As we stated earlier, the MG4 comes with 2 battery pack options. The larger 64kWh battery pack is offers a claimed range of up to 450km on a single charge. The Trophy edition of the MG4 comes with a twin motor setup that offers 203PS of power and 250Nm of torque.

MG MG4 Rivals

MG4 is a C-segment electric hatchback and it rivals the Mini Cooper SE in the Indian market. Currently, no other carmaker offers an electric hatchback exceeding more than 4 metres in length in our market.

MG MG4 Launch Timeline

MG are unlikely to launch the MG4 in India anytime soon. The carmaker updated the ZS EV with a facelift last year and we expect the next generation model to launch in India in 2024. For this year, MG are all set to launch the Air EV small electric hatchback.

MG MG4 Expected Price

As we stated earlier, the MG are unlikely to hit our shores anytime soon. The carmaker may consider the MG4 for our market based on the response received from the attendees at the 2023 Auto Expo.
