Maruti Suzuki Fronx Variant Details
Maruti Suzuki offers the Fronx compact crossover in 5 variants — Sigma, Delta, Delta Plus, Zeta and Alpha. While Maruti Suzuki offer the turbo petrol engine from the Delta variant and above, the turbo petrol engine with the 6-speed torque converter automatic options is only offered in the top 2 variants – Zeta and Alpha. Hence, buyers considering the 1.2-litre normal petrol engine do not get the option to pick the top Zeta and Alpha variants.

While the Fronx normal petrol automatic is lighter than the Fronx turbo petrol automatic, the latter makes more power than the 1.2L engine. So, both variants are likely to offer similar power-to-weight ratio. However, the turbo petrol engine should offer better driveability as it produces more torque than the Fronx normal petrol.
When compared to the Fronx’s rivals, however, the 1.2L normal petrol engine offers more power than the 1.2L normal petrol engine in the Tata Punch and Citroen C3. Meanwhile, the 1.0L turbo petrol engine in the Fronx is on par with the Nissan Magnite turbo and Renault Kiger turbo. However, the Citroen C3 turbo is more powerful than Fronx, with a power output of 110PS.
