Just days after the launch of 2024 XUV 3XO, Tata have reduced the starting price of the Nexon 2024 by introducing new base variants. Check out the latest Nexon variants and prices here.
Tata Nexon Diesel Smart Plus Variant Launched – Starting Price Reduced By Rs. 1.11 Lakh
The 2024 Nexon diesel range, which earlier started from the Pure variant, now gets 2 new base variants – Smart Plus and Smart Plus S. The Nexon Smart Plus and Smart Plus S variants are only available with the 5-speed manual transmission while higher variants get the option of a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed AMT.
With the reintroduction of the 5-speed manual option, Tata have managed to reduce the price of the Nexon diesel by Rs. 1.11 lakh. The Nexon Smart Plus diesel-manual variant is priced at Rs. 9.99 lakh (ex-showroom), while the Nexon diesel manual Smart Plus S (with sunroof) is priced at Rs. 10.49 lakh, or Rs. 50,000 over the new Smart Plus variant.

The Nexon Smart Plus diesel gets features like:
- 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system
- Android Auto and Apple Car Play
- 4 Speakers
- Shark Fin Antenna
- Multi-function steering wheel
- Power windows
- Power-adjustable ORVMs
The Nexon Smart Plus S variant adds the following features:
- Voice-activated sunroof
- Auto headlamps
- Rain-sensing wipers
Prices of other Nexon diesel variants remain unchanged for now.
Tata Nexon Petrol Starting Price Closes Gap With 2024 XUV 3XO Base Variant
Days after Mahindra launched the XUV 3XO with a low starting price of Rs. 7.49 lakh, Tata Motors have introduced a new Nexon petrol base variant to bring its SUV’s starting price Rs. 50,000 closer to its Mahindra rival.

The new Nexon Smart (O) variant, which is priced at Rs. 7.99 lakh (ex-showroom), makes the Nexon petrol Rs. 16,000 more affordable than before. The previous Nexon Smart base variant, which was priced at Rs. 8.15 lakh, is no longer listed on Tata’s website. In terms of features, the new Smart (O) petrol variant offers all of the features that were available in the earlier Smart variant, including:
- 6 Airbags
- Electronic Stability Program
- LED Headlamps with LED DRLs
- Multi Drive Modes - Eco, City, and Sport
- 2-Spoke steering wheel with illuminated logo
- ISOFIX child seat anchors
- Front power windows
- Reverse parking sensors
- Hill hold control
- Tilt and collapsible steering
- Vanity mirror on co-passenger side
- Power outlet on floor console
Furthermore, Tata Motors have also reduced the prices of the Nexon Smart Plus petrol variants. The Nexon Smart Plus petrol manual is now priced at Rs. 8.89 lakh, which is a reduction of Rs. 31,000. The Smart Plus S variant of the Nexon petrol now costs Rs. 9.39 lakh, which is 41,000 less than before. Both variants also get day.night inside rearview mirror as a new feature.

I have purchased the tata Nexon smart plus variant in the April month and not even one month passed and they reduced the company reduced it's cost by 31000 which is a good amount. Is there anything that can be done to get some sort of compensation?
