Skoda Slavia, Volkswagen Virtus Awarded 5 Stars In Global NCAP Crash Test | V3Cars
The Skoda Slavia and Volkswagen Virtus have become the safest cars to ever be crash tested by the Global NCAP. Both the sedans received a 5-star crash test rating for both adult and child occupant safety by the Global NCAP
Global NCAP Give Skoda Slavia & VW Virtus 5-Star Rating
Following the track of their SUV siblings, both the Slavia and Virtus received a full 5-star safety rating from the Global NCAP. Additionally, the Slavia and Virtus outperformed the Kushaq and Taigun and became the safest cars to be tested by Global NCAP so far.

Both the Skoda Slavia and Volkswagen Virtus scored 29.71 points in adult safety, outperforming the Kushaq/Taigun that secured 29.64 points. Both sedans also scored 42 points in child safety with a 5-star rating, equaling their SUV counterparts. Furthermore, the bodyshell integrity of the Slavia and Virtus was found stable.
Both the Slavia and Virtus offered good protection to the driver and co-driver’s head, neck and knees. In the side impact test, the protection for head, chest and abdomen was adequate whereas the pelvis showed good protection. In the electronic stability control (ESC) test, both sedans offered acceptable performance as per Global NCAP’s latest requirements.

Skoda Slavia, Volkswagen Virtus Safety Features
The test cars were equipped with safety features like dual front airbags, seatbelt pretensioner with load limiter for both driver and co-driver, ISOFIX child seat anchorages, seatbelt reminders and electronic stability control (ESC). As per Global NCAP’s latest regulations, every car needs to offer ESC as a standard fitment across all variants to secure a 5-star safety rating. Both the Slavia and Virtus offer ESC along with other safety features like traction control and electronic differential lock as well.
