2024 Mahindra Thar Roxx To Offer Luxurious Yet Rugged Cabin

One of the most striking features of the leaked images is the introduction of a white upholstery option for the Thar Roxx. While the white upholstery might seem at odds with the Thar's rugged reputation, it's likely to be complemented by practical features like ventilated front seats. The interior also boasts modern amenities such as a larger touchscreen infotainment system, a frameless rearview mirror, automatic climate control, a new steering wheel, and 6 airbags.

The presence of a single-pane sunroof in these spy shots suggest this might be a mid-spec variant, as Mahindra have already confirmed through a teaser image that a panoramic sunroof will be available on higher trims.

Mahindra Thar Roxx 2024 – Feature And Practicality

To enhance comfort and convenience, the Thar Roxx is expected to offer adjustable headrests for all 5 passengers, a split centre armrest, a rear armrest, 3-point seatbelts for all passengers, and roof-mounted rear speakers. While the instrument cluster appears to be carried over from the Thar 3 Door, indicating this might be a base or mid-spec model, we can expect higher variants to feature a semi- or full-digital driver’s display.

Mahindra Thar Roxx Powertrain Specs

In terms of powertrains, we expect the new Thar 5 Door to retain the same 2.2L turbo diesel and the 2.0L turbo petrol engine options as the Thar 3 Door. However, both engines could offer more power and torque than the Thar 3 Door to overcome the extra weight. Both engine options are likely to come with manual and automatic transmission options along with 2WD and 4WD drivetrains. 

In the Scorpio N, the 2.2L turbo diesel engine comes in 2 states of tune — 130PS and 175PS. We expect Mahindra to offer the Thar 5 Door diesel with the higher power output while the Thar 5 Door petrol is expected to produce 200PS of power from its 2.0L turbo petrol engine. Both engines are likely to be offered with a 6-speed manual and 6-ped torque converter automatic transmission options.

2024 Mahindra Thar Roxx Expected Prices And Rivals
