April 2023 - Hyundai Car Sales Figures - YoY Change

  • The Creta is a consistent top performer for Hyundai, with over 14,000 units sold in April 2023.
  • The Creta and Venue were the only cars from Hyundai’s stables with a 5-digit sales number in April 2023.
  • Most Hyundai cars reported growth in sales in the April 2023 comparison with April 2022.
  • Disregarding the low-volume Tucson and Kona sales numbers for the purpose of this analysis, the Verna was the top gainer in our April 2023 YoY comparison, with over 400% increase in sales.
  • Among the losers, the Grand I10 Nios saw a 25% decline in sales in our April YoY comparison and it was followed by Alcazar, the D1-segment SUV, which reported a decline of 16%.

April 2023 - Hyundai Car Sales Figures - MoM Change

  • The Xcent/Aura pair was the top gainer with near 35% growth in April MoM comparison analysis, disregarding the numbers of the low-volume Ioniq 5 C-segment EV.
  • The Verna was the next biggest MoM winner with a 6.55% growth.
  • The Verna 2023 was recently launched by Hyundai and the numbers were in 2 digits before the launch of the new model.
  • The Grand i10 Nios was the top losing car for Hyundai with a 26.49% decline, followed by Alcazar with a 19.13% decline in MoM comparison analysis for April.
