Skoda India have teased the arrival of the second-generation Skoda Kodiaq SUV, signaling a launch in the coming weeks. The all-new Kodiaq, which made its India debut at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025, will succeed the outgoing model that launched in India over 7 years ago. The new Kodiaq 2025 will be locally assembled at Skoda’s Aurangabad facility in Maharashtra.

2025 Skoda Kodiaq Gets Sharper Design With Modern Solid Styling

The latest iteration of the Kodiaq boasts Skoda’s new ‘Modern Solid’ design language, resulting in a more contemporary appearance. Measuring a substantial 4758 mm in length – 61 mm longer than its predecessor. Here are the dimensions of the 2025 Skoda Kodiaq:

Design highlights include a distinctive quad headlamp setup where the upper light clusters seamlessly merge with a larger version of Skoda’s signature butterfly grille, which now features an LED strip connecting the headlights and extending to the bumper's edges.

The rear profile is equally striking, showcasing C-shaped wraparound LED tail lamps connected by a light bar, along with prominent ‘Skoda’ lettering in the centre and 4x4 badging. The teaser also hints at matrix projector headlamps and LED Daytime Running Lights (DRLs).

2025 Skoda Kodiaq To Offer Premium And Feature-Rich Interior

Inside, the new Kodiaq promises a significant step up in terms of technology and premium feel. The cabin will feature a prominent 13-inch touchscreen infotainment system that integrates most vehicle controls, complemented by a 10-inch ‘Virtual Cockpit’ digital instrument display. A notable change is the relocation of the automatic transmission gear selector to behind the steering wheel, freeing up valuable storage space in the centre console.

The India-spec Kodiaq will feature leatherette upholstery, a revised air conditioning panel, 3-zone automatic climate control, a panoramic sunroof, and ambient lighting. The steering wheel adopts a modern 2-spoke design.

2025 Skoda Kodiaq Powertrain Specs And Safety Features

Under the bonnet, the India-spec Kodiaq will retain the familiar 2L, 4-cylinder turbo-petrol engine. This unit produces a healthy 190PS and 320Nm of torque, and it will be paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission, along with a capable 4x4 (all-wheel drive) system.

In terms of safety, the India-spec Kodiaq is expected to offer 8 airbags as standard across all variants. Additionally, ABS (Anti-lock Braking System) with EBD (Electronic Brakeforce Distribution) will be bundled as standard across the range. Skoda are yet to confirm if the India-spec Kodiaq will offer ADAS. 

2025 Skoda Kodiaq Expected Price And Rivals

We expect Skoda India to launch the new Kodiaq by the end of April or early May. The previous generation Skoda Kodiaq was priced at Rs. 40 lakh (ex-showroom). We expect the second-gen Kodiaq to cost slightly more thanks to the additional features it offers. When launched, the 2025 Kodiaq will continue its rivalry with the Toyota Fortuner and MG Gloster SUVs.
