2024 Maruti Suzuki Swift CNG — Expected Price Summary

It doesn’t get any more straightforward than this. Because, we know that in similarly-priced cars like the Baleno, Maruti Suzuki charge a premium of Rs. 90,000 for the factory-fit CNG option over the comparable petrol-manual variant. So, adding Rs. 90,000 to the ex-showroom price to the VXI, VXI (O) and ZXI variants’ prices gives us a price range of Rs. 8.20 lakh to Rs. 9.20 lakh for the Swift CNG.

ZXI

There are still 2 ways Maruti can throw a monkey wrench into our estimation:

  1. If they offer 2-cylinder CNG option like the Exter, Nios, Tiago and Punch. In this case, we can expect them to charge Rs. 5,000 more for the luxury of some usable boot space.
  2. If they offer the CNG option with the AMT automatic transmission. Tata are the only ones to offer the CNG-AMT option with the Tiago. And it makes tremendous sense as CNG cars as well as AMT cars tend to get used most in tight city traffic conditions. The combo makes absolutely perfect sense with their cost-effectiveness — both, at the time of purchase as well as at the cost of ownership with lower fuel expenses. In this case, we can expect the AMT variants to carry Rs. 45,000 more than the comparable CNG-manual variants.
