New-Gen Tata Nexon Petrol DCT Confirmed Via A New Leak | V3Cars
Tata Motors are readying the new-gen Nexon for the Indian market. It was spotted on test multiple times and a new leak confirms the dual-clutch transmission option for the B2-SUV. Read on to know more about the new-gen Tata Nexon.
New-Gen Tata Nexon Petrol DCT Confirmed
A new video of the new-gen Tata Nexon test car lends us a sneak peek into the engine bay of the upcoming SUV. The video also reveals DCT code on the transmission unit, confirming that the new Nexon will offer a dual-clutch automatic transmission. Currently, those looking for the convenience of 2 pedal driving only have the option of an automated manual transmission (AMT) with both petrol and diesel engine options.

Apart from the new DCT transmission, the new-gen Nexon is also likely to offer Tata’s new 1.2L turbo petrol engine that was showcased at the 2023 Auto Expo. The new Nexon could be the first Tata model to carry the new 1.2L petrol engine followed by the ICE version of the Curvv. The new engine is likely to offer 125PS of power and 225Nm of torque, as revealed by Tata Motors at the auto show.
2023 Tata Nexon Exterior Details
Speaking of other exterior details, the new Nexon is likely to offer a split LED headlight that will make it fall in line with the smaller Punch and larger Harrier SUVs. It could feature a connected LED light bar covering the width of the front and merging with the Tata logo at the centre. Around the side, the new Nexon that was spied continues to come with wheel arch cladding and flared wheel arches. The new mod could offer a new design for the 16-inch dual-tone alloy wheels. At the rear, the new Nexon will offer slimmer LED tail lights with a connected LED light bar and sequential turn indicators.

2023 Tata Nexon — Interior And Features
On the inside, the Nexon could offer a revamped dashboard design with better quality materials and features. The centre of the dashboard is likely to host Tata’s new 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. It will also boast Tata’s new 2-spoke steering wheel with an illuminated Tata logo. Other features of the Nexon 2023 could include a wireless phone charger, full-colour LCD instrument cluster, front ventilated seats, automatic headlights, rain-sensing wipers, multi-drive modes and paddle shifters.
2023 Tata Nexon Facelift — Launch Details And Rivals
Since the Nexon is currently one of the oldest SUVs in the B2-segment space, Tata Motors could launch the new Nexon as early as August this year. We expect Tata to reveal the model in July and open bookings the same month. The new Nexon is likely to be Tata’s offering for the upcoming festive season. It will rival the recently updated Maruti Suzuki Brezza and Hyundai Venue facelift. Its other segment rivals include the Kia Sonet, Mahindra XUV300, Renault Kiger and Nissan Magnite.
