Hyundai will reveal the Exter small SUV on July 10, 2023. Ahead of its global debut, the first interior images of the Exter recently surfaced online. Read on to know more about the new 2023 Hyundai Exter.

The leaked images reveal the interior dashboard design and a few features of the Exter. The dashboard of the Exter looks very similar to that of the Grand i10 Nios, with which the small SUV shares its underpinnings. It gets horizontally-placed AC vents below the touchscreen infotainment system. The infotainment system could measure up to 8.0 inches in size and offer wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.

What’s different from the Grand i10 Nios is the presence of a digital driver’s display. It’s the same unit seen in the Verna sedan and Venue B2-SUV. Other details include a 3-spoke steering wheel that offers buttons for multimedia functions and cruise control. The images also reveal the high-line tyre pressure monitoring system in the instrument cluster.

2023 Hyundai Exter Powertrain Details

Hyundai have confirmed the powertrain details of the new Exter small SUV. The Exter will offer a 1.2L normal petrol engine mated to a 5-speed manual and a 5-speed automated manual transmission (AMT). Buyers seeking fuel efficiency and relatively lower running costs will also get the option of a 1.2L normal petrol-CNG powertrain option mated to a 5-speed manual transmission. At launch, the Exter will not offer a turbo petrol engine. However, Hyundai could offer the Exter with the 1.0L turbo petrol engine at a later date.

Hyundai are likely to launch the Exter on July 10, 2023. The new Exter will rival other B1-segment SUVs like the Tata Punch and Citroen C3 Furthermore, it could also compete with the non-turbo petrol versions of the Nissan Magnite, Renault Kiger and Maruti Suzuki Fronx.
