Take a look at the most notable features of the Safari Red Dark editions:
1. 360-Degree Parking Camera
The Safari SUV was the only SUVs in its segment to come without a 360-degree parking camera. With the new update, Tata Motors have added a 360-degree parking camera in the Safari. The cameras are placed below the front grille, side ORVMs and tailgate. It is likely to offer a bird’s eye view along with individual camera feed as well.

2. Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS)
Although Tata Motors didn’t mention any information about ADAS features in the Safari Red Dark Edition, we were able to spot a radar on the lower bumper and cameras above the inside rear view mirror (IRVM). This suggests the Safari Red Dark Edition could get ADAS features such as auto emergency braking, lane keeping assist, blind spot detection, fatigue alert and rear cross traffic alert when launched.

3. Digital Driver’s Display
With the new Red Dark Edition, the Safari now features a large digital instrument cluster. The new SUV comes with a 7-inch digital driver’s display that replaces the 7-inch semi-digital instrumentation in the existing Safari. It is worth mentioning that the Safari’s rivals offer a larger instrument cluster.
4. New Infotainment System
The infotainment systems have been one of the weakest links in all Tata cars. Well, the carmaker is set to fix this issue with the introduction of a large, 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system. It comes with a new interface that is a lot sleeker than before. It also incorporates wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay for additional convenience. We saw the same infotainment system in the recently-unveiled Altroz Racer edition as well.

5. Cosmetic Updates
Apart from the inclusion of the much-needed features, the Safari Red Dark Edition also offer a few cosmetic updates. These updates include red inserts on the front grille, red brake callipers, red seat upholstery, red inserts around the centre console and red ambient lighting.
We expect the aforementioned feature additions to debut in the top-spec variants of the standard Safari as well. These features will make the Safari stronger in front of rivals such as the updated MG Hector and the Mahindra XUV700.
6. Electrically Adjustable Driver Seat With Memory Function
The Safari Red Dark Edition also includes an electrically adjustable driver’s seat with memory function that allows the owner and others who drive the car regularly to set the seat to their preferred driving position and recall the setting with just the touch of a button.
7. Electric Boss Mode For Co-Passenger Seat
The new Safari Red Dark Edition comes with an electric boss mode. In the current Safari, the rear passenger gets the option to slide the front passenger seat ahead and behind. With the Red Dark Edition, the Safari gains electronic adjustment for not only sliding the front passenger but also change the angle of the backrest angle. The controls for the boss mode are placed on the right side of the front passenger seat.
