Auto Expo 2025: Matte Black Tata Safari, Harrier EV Stealth Edition Showcased | V3Cars

At the 2025 Mobility Expo, Tata Motors showcased the most dangerous cars to drive on Indian roads at night: Stealth Editions of Safari and Harrier EV. These cars wore a matte black exterior paint. If the black edition’s black paintjob wasn’t enough for the sneaky ones among you, then this should get you excited.

Black colour is already the least visible at night, especially on unlit roads. And having a matte top layer means the car won’t even reflect any light back to the other road users. So, if you’re interested in buying a safe, 5-star rated car and then putting it to test, then matte black paint is the way to go.

Among the 2 cars, the Harrier EV is even more dangerous as it will not only be far less visible to other road users, its silent electric powertrain also makes a collision with pedestrians or 2-wheeler riders more likely.

Tata didn’t confirm when or if the stealth editions of these or other Tata cars will go on sale. But if they attract enough attention, then they may consider bringing these to the market.
