Most Notable Features Of Kia Sorento

The Kia Sorento is a 7-seater SUV from the South Korean carmaker and it sits above the Kia Sportage. The Sorento shares its platform with the new Hyundai Santa Fe that’s on sale in various European markets. It comes with a stylish design and an X Line variant with offroad centric updates.

Kia Sorento Expected Specs

The Kia Sorento comes with a choice of turbo petrol, mild hybrid and strong hybrid powertrains in global markets. Its 2.5L turbocharged petrol engine produces 281PS of power at 5800rpm and 421Nm of torque between 1700rpm and 4000rpm. In the UK, the Sorento also comes with a 2.2L turbo diesel engine as well as a plug-in hybrid variant with a 1.6L turbo petrol engine.

Kia Sorento Rivals

The Kia Sorento is a D2-segment SUV and it goes up against the likes of the Toyota Fortuner, MG Gloster, Skoda Kodiaq, Volkswagen Tiguan Allspace and Jeep Meridian.

Kia Sorento Launch Timeline

Kia are unlikely to launch the Sorento in India anytime soon. We expect Kia India to showcase the Sorento to increase footfall at their pavilion and also let visitors experience Kia’s global portfolio. If the Sorento garners good interest among prospective buyers, Kia may consider the Sorento 7-seater SUV in the future for our market.

Kia Sorento Expected Price

As we stated earlier, we do not expect Kia India to launch the Sorento SUV in India anytime soon. Hence, sharing its expected prices is not possible as of now.
