Most Notable Features Of BYD Seal EV
The most notable feature of the BYD Seal electric sedan is it’s claimed range of 700km per charge. The BYD Seal is based on BYD’s dedicated EV platform called e-Platform 3.0. It features BYD’s Blade Battery technology. Other highlights include BYD’s CTB (cell to battery) technology which integrates the battery into the body of the vehicle to improve safety, stability, handling and performance.
In terms of design, the BYD Seal electric sedan gets an all-glass roof, 4 boomerang shaped LED DRLs, LED projector headlights, flush-fitting door handles and a full-width LED taillight at the rear. The BYD Seal showcased at the Auto Expo 2023 was shod with 235/45 19-inch tyres.
The BYD Seal measures length is 4800mm, width is 1875mm, height is 1460mm and has a wheelbase of 2920mm. The BYD Seal has a boot space of 320 litres.

The BYD Seal comes with 2 battery pack options – 61.4kWh and 82.5kWh – in global markets. The 61.4kWh battery pack supports 110kW fast chargers and offers range of 550km while the bigger 82.5kWh battery supports fast chargers with speeds up to 150kW and offers a range of up to 700km.
There are 2 electric motor options – single motor and dual motor – to choose from. The BYD Seal with the single motor option puts out 207PS of power with the smaller battery and 316PS of power with the bigger battery. In the dual motor version, the front motor produces 221PS of power and the rear motor produces 316PS. The combined output is capped at 537PS. The all-wheel drive, dual motor version of the Seal does 0-100kmph in 3.8 seconds.

BYD Seal Electric Sedan Rivals
The BYD Seal, when launched, will take on the Hyundai Ioniq 5, Kia EV6, EV6 GT, Mercedes-Benz EQB and the Volvo XC40 Recharge. However, its prime rival will be the BMW i4, which is the only other electric sedan in this price range.
