Skoda To Launch 1-3 New EVs In 2025
At the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025, Skoda India officials told V3Cars that they could launch 1 to 3 new EVs based on the MEB platform this year. The new EV models will help Skoda India achieve CAFE 3 norms, which is set to be implemented by the year 2027. The upcoming EVs could include the new Elroq and Enyaq iV facelift, both of which were showcased at the Auto Expo 2025, and the Enyaq coupe SUV. The upcoming Skoda EVs are likely to be locally assembled from kits imported into the country, just like the upcoming 2025 Kodiaq SUV.
Skoda officials also stated that they plan to launch a fully localised EV within 3 years. This will help brand lower the entry point for a Skoda EV in India.
2025 Skoda Elroq EV – What Is It?
The Skoda Elroq is an all-electric compact SUV that Skoda India revealed at the ongoing Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025. While it’s already available in some international markets, its official launch in India is yet to be confirmed.
In terms of design, the 2025 Elroq features a streamlined profile with a blacked-out, closed butterfly grille and distinctive 4-piece LED DRLs. The headlights are integrated into the front bumper below the DRLs. The side profile presents a compact silhouette reminiscent of the Skoda Kodiaq. The rear features C-shaped LED taillights with animation, a common design element in newer Skoda SUVs. Prominent silver skid plates on both bumpers add a rugged touch.

- 13-inch floating touchscreen
- 10-inch Digital driver’s display
- Optional head-up display (HUD)
- Multi-color ambient lighting
- Automatic climate control
- Connected car technology
- ADAS
Globally, the Skoda Elroq offers 3 battery pack options with varying performance and range. The Elroq 85 variant is the most powerful and offers the longest range.
