Hyundai showcased their Nexo hydrogen fuel-cell vehicle (FCEV) at the Bharat Mobility Expo 2025 in India. While the Nexo FCEV is unlikely to launch in India anytime soon, the showcase emphasises Hyundai’s dedication to exploring and developing alternative fuel technologies.

Hyundai Nexon FCEV – Distinctive Exterior Design

The 2025 Nexo features a unique design language characterised by prominent LED light bars, flared wheel arches, and low-positioned headlights. The rear design incorporates triangular taillights placed at the vehicle’s edges.  

The Hyundai Nexo measures 4,670 meters in length, 1,860 meters in width, and 1,640 meters in height, with a wheelbase of 2,790 meters. These dimensions contribute to a spacious and comfortable interior.

Hyundai Nexo FCEV – Interior Features And Technology

Inside the cabin, the Nexo offers leatherette upholstery, dual digital displays, and connected car technology. Advanced safety features include a 360-degree camera and Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS).  

Hyundai Nexo Hydrogen Fuel-Cell Powertrain

The Nexo is powered by a 120kWh fuel cell system that uses hydrogen to generate electricity, driving a Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor (PMSM). This powertrain delivers 163PS of power and 395Nm of torque. It offers a WLTP-claimed range of 666km.
